Although sometimes I do lowkey wish mounts were disabled in all pre-PoF maps just so that the old metas/woldbosses felt like a fun clusterfvck of running around like headless chickens instead of seeing skyscales or beetles just trivializing going around the map.

Honestly this launch is much like a 3-day early access launch, kinda like how FFXIV does their expansion launch.

Can't recommend at the moment since you're more or less extremely timegated from a decent bit (unlockable gundams/paid battlepass) of the gundam content.

If you like hero shooters or staving off your overwatch 2 hunger, go ahead and play it. But if you're here for gundam content wait till tomorrow 9/23 in the evening (in US) when they add the monetization stuff otherwise you're gunna feel like there's nothing in the game atm (Especially if you came for Unicorn). The most you could do atm is try out the basic stuff, level the battlepass and player level and sorta do ranked? but I think most are waiting to get the battlepass.

So for now don't really recommend, I'll come back to this after they setup the money stuff.

POST 9/23 EDIT: Yeah... no it's still staying not recommended.

The "Free" currency called Capitol can only be obtained, not from Dailies or Weeklies or even from just playing matches, but from the Time-Gated Beginner's Challenge or by essentially finishing the Battle Pass (Which is enough to afford 1 character). This currency let's you buy the locked characters (Currently 5 of them) or buying cosmetic loot boxes. OR if you want you can buy all of the locked characters for $42 with a unique skin for each or $10 individually. Because of the restricted way to earn Capitol it at the very moment feels "pay to winny" but the locked characters are for the most part "balanced" I guess.

Ranked is designed with the extremely punishing to lose kind of grindset. Where each win on average nets +20~22 (+15~18 if fighting lower ranked players) and a loss puts -21~24 overall. Also the game allows for 6-stacking with little to no restriction on rank.

Another issue with rank that happen were that initially to play Ranked you must be at least account level 20, which was a bit of a grind but you could know the player for the most part has played quite a bit of the game. With the battle pass allowing for immediate ranked access, there have been several people who hop onto ranked with little to no experience ruining it for other players. Additionally, a player dc'ing will still give you the full rating loss with no reduction (You'll still lose -21~24 even if you are down a player).

Creator said he didn't want to make a 3rd game, fans were rabid, he reiterated his statement by making said 3rd game. Honestly don't know if I should love it or hate it, but because to me it feels like it ruins the previous two games, I hate it I guess lel
