After installing the game, I logged in to adjust my graphics settings without even playing the game. The next day, I was hit with a ban for "unauthorized software and data manipulation." I’ve been a loyal Steam user for 17 years with a spotless track record across countless games like Counter-Strike. I’ve never cheated or engaged in any behavior that would justify this kind of punishment.

The ban is completely unjustified, and the support from Activision has been non-existent. I’ve tried appealing multiple times, but they haven’t provided any explanation. The only unusual thing I did was run Steam’s “verify integrity of game files” after the game crashed during launch. I can’t help but feel like the anti-cheat system mistakenly flagged this as some kind of manipulation, which is ridiculous.

I’m writing this review to warn others. If you’re considering playing this game, be cautious. Even with a spotless gaming history, you could end up banned without ever playing. It’s been a frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same.

I picked this game up for free in a Christmas sale, and it's aight.

The biggest problem with it is that if you want all the DLC, it's gonna run you a total of $1200, and rising because new DLC are constantly coming out, and usually they're either $10 for stuff in build mode, or upwards of $30-$40 for content packs with new jobs, building locations, etc. If you want my advice, download mods off of Nexus instead of DLC. They're free and give you individual stuff rather than whole packs of DLC. Be warned though, a lot of the mods on Nexus are 18+, so if you don't wanna see that stuff, then probably don't visit the website.

Overall, if you're the kind of person to be patient and you don't want to play with every DLC a game has, then yeah, The Sims 4 is a great game. Wait for DLC to go on sale, (sometimes for free) and download them then. However, if you want to play a game with everything it has to offer, then this one isn't a keeper, as downloading all the DLC would take days, let alone the ~$1200 price tag.

The new privacy policy is insane,

it allows them to acess and store (*and share) ridiculous amounts of information that they have no buisiness knowing.

I have puchased this game years ago and now they block me from playing it unless i forefeit my right to privacy?

I consider this to be fraud.

Edit: here are some examples:

information that they collect includes:

– Nickname, phone number, SteamID64(*), purchase history, etc. to provide and operate the game;*

– Nickname, email address, device information, and records of the issues you experience (to provide customer service)*, and

– Email address, gender, age, country of residence, language, and information for delivering goods (i.e. name, postal address, and phone number)(for participation in the survey, and other events).*

When you participate in social features (such as in-game chat), the information that you disclose is public information. We may store and access it, and it may be read, copied, collected or used by other users without your consent.

*When they name a reason for collecting this and that information it doesn't legally bind them as far as I can tell.
It seems to be just an explanation for the reader, especially considering this list is under "information we collect" and not "how we use your information", that comes later.

who they share the information with includes:

marketing platforms and providers of analytics services relating to player behavior*, in order to tailor the Service and to conduct marketing activities
*this does not mean that they only share information that's necessary for the analytics, it means that they are allowed to share what they have with a company that provides those analytics services.
player behavior is also not limited to ingame activities, it can be simply activity of you, the player, as far as the wording goes.

they also retain the right to give out your information if their company is aquired or merged.

We may also share your information where such disclosure is essential to comply with a legal obligation or a lawful data access request, pursuant to a merger or acquisition, with our affiliates for the purposes described in this Policy, or where you have otherwise provided* your consent or at your direction.

*"or where you have otherwise provided your consent" reads like "We may share your information in such and such cases and also however we see fit (as long as it's legal)" bruh💀

please check out the privacy policy to see for yourself:

it's all there and not super hard to understand.

tldr: privacy unknown: bad game 😔😔

I started with Dota years ago and i was by far my favorite game together with Minecraft, even when i sucked in Dota 1 it was a lot of fun.
Ye, i was really young when i played it.

Dota 2 is basicly the game that brought me on Steam, never knew it existed before i heard Dota 2 would be released on Steam.
A friendly stranger gave me a key for the Beta Access, and i stared playing it.

The graphics were a total boom for my eyes, the new features and the gameplay, oh god.
I was in total love with the game and played it like 6 hours a day.
On Level 80 i started playing Ranked and gained a 4800 Solo MMR.
I played for month and made a break from Dota after i reached the 6k MMR.
(I talk about my old Steam Account, don't be confused)

So after 1 year i came back and took a look at the new Reborn Dota and the new features.
Definitly gonna play it again for a long time.

I can say that this is by FAR my absolute my favorite game and i can recommend it to everyone who likes MOBAs.

I'm at the point where its nothing but grinding with little gain. Dockyard mission 7. You need 50,000 free XP. I do a PVE battle with 1-2 kills and I survive. I get 50 Free XP. That's roughly 1000 games to beat this part of the missions. I don't have buffs. I'm not paying for buffs. Let's not even talk about the coin you need to purchase the next ship. I need 12 million to buy the next ship. The game is fun. Unless you pay money for currency or a next ship. It's just boring grinding.

This game is a pretty easy going mobile type game. There is little to no difficulty to it making it a fun way to spend an hour or so.
