man this game was something different, i enjoyed it from start to finish which hasn't been the case with alot of my favorite games of all time. there is usually SOME point where i have to force myself through a point in the game, and this game didn't have that

the gameplay:
holy ♥♥♥♥ this is how you do third-person melee combat, so much better than the boring, slow, and just generally unenjoyable souls-like experience. perfect dodging is an incredibly fun mechanic to learn and try and play around. i did not expect that i would like the gameplay as much as i did. the only issue i have with this game is that if you die you lose all the health items you used on previous "attempts" which i think is really stupid not going to lie

Main Character:
holy ♥♥♥♥ is 2B phenomenal. my favorite main protagonist ever, geralt probably trailing close behind. i think i just have a thing for characters who are supposed to completely stoic which slowly show that they aren't, because man 2b is incredible. the scene at the end of ending A didn't make me as teary eyed as the end of the witcher 3 or cyberpunk but it sure hit me alot harder than i thought it would. yeah man 2B is such a good character, like incredibly incredibly good

side character(s):
the only real side character for me was 9s, which he always kind of felt like this stereotypical anime boy character, but as the game progressed i became more fine with that. in fact, he might actually be a 9.5/10 or 10/10 because i dont know that 2B would be as amazing of a main character without him. again the end scene for ending A is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible

Soundtrack:
this ♥♥♥♥ bangs so hard, i basically didn't fast travel at all because i wanted to hear the sound track while running from place to place. the reason it isnt a 10/10 is because for it to be a 10/10 i feel like it would have to be as good as The Witcher 3's and its not, still incredible, but not the best of all time

Story:
very good, but not on the level of some other games. 2B kind of makes the story for me but the theme analysing humanity not by matter but by action is a good one. this isnt a game that i finish and think of the ending for the next week, but its a game that had a very good story

conclusion:
2B is a top 3 character of all time for me, only behind ciri and songbird in that order. robots look kind of goofy but thats alright, probably takes away from the enjoyment but eh could be worse. ive only done ending A but i most likely will try to get other endings and will play the other nier game
this game gets a 9.6/10, placing it as my third favorite game of all time
