Just got into it, so far its a lot of things and all of it good. I want to be critical but I can't find anything in particular that makes this a not recommended in the least.

The Music is fine, it's no where near as grandiouse as Smash Bros. The Announcer is okay, again no where near as grand standing as Melee's.

Where it does shine is the online, character balance and yea game play.

This is everything done right that Brawl did wrong but it's just missing that wackyness that Melee had with items on. The game is easy as hell to pick up but clearly has a lot of depth. It can like any party game turn into a cluster puck of colors when things get hectic and as a Melee player I have to train my self off my habits when trying to recover but so far this is a solid game.

The online had 0 lag for me, as in my brain didn't even pick up any delay in my attacks, that to me makes this amazing and a feat for any online fighting game, especially a party one like this. The art work takes a little getting used to, its simple which is fine, but a bit too simple in places.

Thee cash shop is entirely about cosmetics, if you've played league it's basically like that except its easier to earn your champions if you keep winning. Seriously win bout 8 games back to back and you can unlock a champion.

In the end this is one of my first solid recommends with no reservations about anything.

Okay time for a rating: Sword Coast Legends is capable of delivering an experience that could either be fun or tedious depending on what kind of gamer you are. There is nothing, absolutely nothing new here, it is a rewrap of any other game of this genre and doesn't attempt to bring any innovation to the table.

Now if you are saying what about the DM mode... okay let's start off by saying that I will judge this game by what it is and not what I wanted it to be - the game is broken, You have several modes one is a dungeon run, you can essentially preprogram a group of floors and adjust the floors on the fly as the party runs through it. This is fine, but if you get the level 1 or 2 player who had a level 20 with epic loot and transfered that loot to the level 1 then they could take down a friggin beholder solo if they wanted to.

My DM style isn't that I want to kill my players, I want them to win but I want them to have to think. I'm also very thematic so long missions are explained as long for example an expidition into the underdark to find an ancient evil secreted away that is in threat of being rediscovered by evil forces, thats a damn long mission. There is no return to this dungeon to finish it off later option which basically limits you to doing 3 to 5 floor mid sized or small missions otherwise you're going to start losing people.

You missions basically turn into a xp grind fest as you see the ranger run into a room one shot everything and move on. I tested out various ways that they were doing this myself; farming the epic loot and testing it out and sure enough it isn't an easy feat to accomplish so power to those players, this is an issue with the game where it has no mana friggin resource. The game relies on cool downs heavily and then gives you gear that drops the cool downs by over 100% so a wizard can run around casting level 13 spells like auto attacks. There are no spell slots so no short rest or long rest is needed for these shenanigans to be limited.

In the end this game was made as a nod to Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale or Neverwinter but in the end the script is uninspired and the narrative is a railroad. The DM mode may as well be called a "let's play" and the online mode for a player could well pass for a krpg WoW lite clone.

For some people these may be great things, but as a point, this is story inspired by the D&D world but the gameplay is not.

I've played it for a bit before steam and well I enjoyed the game, but it isn't D&D and it doesn't try to be D&D, it's basically a good mmo that has some D&D references.

This is a good game in it's own right, the problem with all things D&D is that it's a money sink but it's very clearly a money sink, not as badly as DDO is a money pit but its there.

The good thing is it isn't as bad as DDO where its clearly pay to win but as you get up in levels you start to feel like things are missing from the game and eventually you've spent $200 and didn't even realize it.

I'm a big fan of buying your game but in order to buy this game you need to put in about $600 or more, for some people that's nothing but to me that's $540 more than I want to spend on one game.

In the end the game isn't bad, there aren't game breaking bugs, the presentation and production quality are nice but it's just a generic mmo so don't get your hopes up thinking this is some massive world where you can plane shift to the feywild or create your own demiplane and otherworldly leap around a beholder like some kind of Jedi, this is not D&D and it doesn't try to be but again it's still a pretty good game.

The not recommended is because it is a money sink and you could basically get three full 5e campaigns for the amount of money this game pulls from you just to get the ammenities.

I don't understand how this is rated so highly, the two best parts about this is the fast download to see what it is thanks to the small file which leads to the second best part being the small file size which makes it take less than a second to remove from my computer.

I must be spoiled after football manager 2015, this is just terrible. I can't even create a tactic, you have to select from the defaults... unless you have to pay money to create your own tactics or something. I love runing false nine and registas but I can't do that here, I can't do anything here but what the game wants me to do so screw this.

Above average the production value on this game though is just damn!

Music is great, sound generally is perfectly done. Graphics and animation amazing, combat can get a bit redundant but if you can deal with but the ending of the game is just damn wow!

50% off Steam means this is a must get, honestly 25% off is a must get, full price... well the game is a little short but it does have an online component which might add to the value.

Still in early development, its a solid game nonetheless and its worth it imo. Typical issues with these kinds of games apply like the lack of a modding community though modding is supported mainly due to it being in beta so any update could defunct a mod.

The unique things are when compared to say Starbound is that this game doesn't have some of the things you might expect, like rain and interactable home items. Also you need hamachi to play with friends and so on.

The art grows on you quickly for some reason, at first the images looked nice, then I played it an didn't really like the character art but eventually I preffered it over some of the other sprite games out 'T'here.

With that said, I can recommend this game to anyone who liked Star Bound and want to experience something slight different and still good.

Good game when it works.

This game is not meant for modern windows and will not work. The most I got out of it is about 30 minutes of play time, this is from instant crashing every time I opened the menu or sometimes just at start up.

Aside from a whole host of other issues when trying to run this in compatibility the game when it runs for how long it chooses to run is fun and the voice acting is fair.

Still I will not recommend this for users of Windows 8 and above.

Game has a nice sound track and deep enough mechanics, a decent amount of vanity costumes and nice art work... but that's where the good news ends.

The reason for the not recommended mainly is that the servers are down randomly and for my times its the case that they are down more than they are up.

Next is that players will be level 40+ in stats going against your team which for some reason has a level 11 player... yea.

Also do not pick Shooting Guard (SG), you will be griefed left and right, especially be Point Guards who think they are the greatest thing to grace the game.

Picture this games multiplayer to be like WoW dungeon raids or FFXIV where players will spaz at you because you didn't watch a hundred hours of youtube videos on the various mechanics that they swear they know.

All in all the game has a lot of potential but what kills it are the constant crashing and server down times as well as really terrible community.

It's not a bad game at all, for me it's close to what I wanted from a space sim.

The thing is that the positives of this game can be negatives as well; for example the complexity. This game is very physics based and because of that navigation can be tedious, if you have patience with that then you're golden.

After you've figured out how to not zoom by stuff when going at light speed you also have to figure out docking and tailing a target.

If you were going to make a real life based space simulation where light speed is like horse and carriages then this would be it.

After that complexity then we get to the complexity of understanding your ships gear. Just basing it on the arrows isn't enough as some stuff costs more but are crappier than the cheaper stuff. So in the end you will end up on youtube looking at what weapons do before buying one.

Combat is normal flight sim stuff the UI makes it pretty simple to know where your target is, you can also target specific subsystems which is nice.
