It fill me with physical pain how I have played this game so much and am yet to reach 1 million again. This grind has costed me so much and still it demands more.

Fun and challenging game with a few nit-picks
Positives
  • Amazing looking graphic style (Low poly graphics are goated in my opinion)
  • Gunplay is simple and highly accurate (gives off Nightmare of Decay vibes)
  • Zombies are super creepy and FAST! Once you get to round 25, you have no peace
  • Perks are highly useful and effective for high rounds
  • Slide jumping is back and has you flying across the room; super well made movement
  • customization's so far pretty clean
  • The duel wield mechanic is pretty cool and amazing with the carbine
  • Zombies have no hitbox above their torso so escaping and movement is even more open-ranged
  • Omni-movement allows for you to run in any direction and pop shots off while running away
Negatives/Nit-picks
Fixes I think would benefit the game
  • Cleaner homescreen UI
  • Customizable player UI (Able to move x and y axis for information display)
  • A constant point standard (Critical kills is 50 cents, normal kills 30cents, etc)
  • Player able to get points based off of plain damage on a zombie (Encourages training zombies)
  • Addition of a Pack-a-Punch-like system to enrich gameplay loop
  • More optimized zombies
  • Allow level to come back to day (Day/night cycle)
  • Slower zombie spawns (Maybe 2 second delay between kills)

When I first played this game years ago, I thought it was a mess but now after having read the paragraphs of text, I can say this game is pretty fun.

While being simple, this game has a charming game play loop that is just fun to try and reach God Emperor rank. The game offers a challenge system that rewards you with upgrades for both the Taliban raids and the main games map/trade level.
Little Pearls of Wisdom
1. You can send aid anytime you want to any country, you do not need them to ask (helps with Europe's challenge of getting 3 countries to love America)
2. If you ever go over the limit and WW3 is declared, you can spam aid to countries to reduce the bar as it climbs (helps with China's and Japan's challenges)
3. Raiding North Korea offers little WW3 bar growth and gives you a great start early game for obtaining products
4. Completing challenges buffs Trump to be more efficient and powerful
For the God Emperor Achievement
After playing for a while, I do not think getting this achievement is even possible just with how demanding the game is with its prerequisites to actually be able to end the game.
BASE REQUIREMENTS TO BEAT GAME AND GET GOD EMPEROR
  • Obtain Ammo Belt Upgrade (Faster Fire Speed and damage): Get North Korea to Max Fear
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ -You can invade North Korea for 500 billion to get them to fear you or spam rockets at them for 25
    billion
  • Obtain Rockets and Minigun (Required for final boss fight): Buy a product while raiding North Korea
  • Get America to level 5 (Base Requirement to unlock all Taliban levels)
  • Beat all Taliban Raids
  • Pay off your debt (Debt starts at 20 trillion (20000 billion) and grows over time)
  • Do all of this before 365 days or 15 minutes (2.5 seconds per day)
Because so much is required, I made a spreadsheet for all of the costs and income you will accrue when trying and beating the Taliban

So with only making ~$100 Billion, you really need to try and invest as much as you can into oil and making as much profit before taking on the Taliban because there is nothing to gain in fighting them outside of finishing the game.

For those who don't want to attempt the grind of God Emperor legitimately
  1. Go to your file explorer
  2. Go to documents
  3. Open the "MakeAmericaGreatAgin" folder
  4. Open the "Data" text file
  5. CTR + F and search for "<Money>"
  6. Switch the current value with however much you want
  7. Then just buy up a bunch of resources and complete the game

    C:\Users\userName\OneDrive\Documents\MakeAmericaGreatAgain

Other than grinding the God Emperor achievement, this game is pretty fun and a very casual experience; once you get past all the paragraphs of tutorial text.

Why are there so many collection missions! I mean with 50 letter shards, 50 radioactive material, 50 alien pieces, 50 stunt jumps, 50 submarine pieces AND THE KIFFLAM MISSION. Brutal.

Next Best Indiana Jones Game right next to the Staff of Kings!
This game is the most genuine and respectful attempt to adapt a movie into a video game format I have seen. With its beautiful graphics and enjoyable cast of characters that all pull their weight in a way that is both realistic and not forced will leave you feeling actually attached to all the characters you run into. I cannot forget to mention Troy Baker's stellar performance voicing Indiana Jones. The fact that Baki freaking Hanma is Indiana Jones is all I need in this life.
The Positives of this Game
  • The fighting system is both super satisfying and very well flushed out, being complimented further with the classic punch sound effect from the movies that is just *chefs kiss*
  • The ability to parry attacks and then respond with either a devastating command grab or a flurry of heavy punches on enemies is a feeling best put as cathartic!
The whip further allows for you to either disarm or pull enemies to you for a brutal beat down as well
which makes the combat even more fitting for any play style.
  • The upgrade system further emphasizes the ingenuity of the combat system by giving you upgrades that not only the generic increase in proficiencies such as the health or damage like other games but also unlocks ones ability to parry bigger enemies as well as their weapons! This even more so makes the combat that much more complex and special!
  • The graphics on this game, while being very demanding is extremely stunning. Just turn on widescreen and those black bars will have you feeling like you're in a movie!
  • The story is also just super well made, having entertaining and interesting plot points that add to your immersion and investment towards Indie and his allies.
  • The female protagonist (Gina) is one who you actually root for due to the writers actually giving her a personality and showing her weaknesses so that you may relate and further empathize with her struggles which is truly a breath of fresh air. Watching Indy rely on Gina and Gina rely on Indie is a staple of good writing and for that, I am thankful.
  • The set pieces are absolutely GORGEOUS! To look at the great pyramids up close and admire each loose stone, weathered from centuries of aging as well as exploring other historical sites and their historical events (I wish not to spoil but it is fire) is a treat every step of the way!
  • The animations are truly the crown jewel of this game with everything you can think of having a personally made animation to boot. The weapons, the interacting with the world and character animations in general are so well crafted that it truly feels like a movie! The models and their rigging alone make this game perfect.
I must admit, when I first saw the trailer, I was suspicious of the third-person transitions but after
playing through the entire game, I can say the transition from third-person to first-person is actually
one of my favorite parts mechanically about this game!
    The Negatives of this Game
  • The enemy ai is at best decent but at its worst(which is almost always) is absolutely retarded, having the soldiers possess the object permanence of a newborn is in one word infuriating!
If you throw dynamite a mile away, they know exactly where you are but if you knock out their comrade
right in front of them, they never knew em! It is completely backwards and kind of leaves you just going
for wiping out the field by beating everyone in sight over some meticulous and strategic play-by-play.
  • The whip swinging in this game is particularly dicey with Indy's momentum failing quite often when clearly he should be flying across the room which makes for fast paced movement a gamble to pull off especially whenyou are trying not to be devoured by a giant freaking anaconda in the water!
  • The gun play is also a half bag. On one hand, the animations and sound effects are stunning, but mix that with the fact you cannot reload these weapons nor can you effectively use these weapons due to their weak damage output makes for more of a novelty rather than an effective tool for combat (I have often headshot soft soldiers with a Kar98k only for them to come charging at me right after!)
  • The mantling is also hit or miss at times. After I swing, Indy decides not to grab the ledge and kill himself or if I am just jumping across a ledge, he does the same thing which is annoying.
  • My biggest gripe with this game, THE FREAKING COGWHEEL PUZZLE! I spent an hour just futsing with cog/gear placement only to find out that you need to find the rest! Every other task lets you know you are ill prepared or flat out prevents you from working but this one just has a throwaway line in the notebook about needing 5 pieces which absolutely killed me. That part sucked hard

  • There are also LOTS of glitches! There are moments where your whip glitches and you can no longer pull out anything in your inventory even when you reload a save. There is also glitches where camera and note icons stay even after the task is done. There is a glitch you cannot solve where you cannot get all the notes in the game which is infuriating.

All-in-all, if you are a fan of Indiana Jones, this is the game for you! Everything about it are callbacks to moments in the Movies which are so fun to spot(my two current favorites are the hat respawn animation with Indie doing his iconic smirk and then the knockout animation that mirrors Indy from the crystal skull where he holds his punch for the dude to fall on his own). I cannot wait to 100% this game and comeback ever so often just to enjoy the amazing atmosphere the developers so hand-crafted for us to enjoy!

After playing tons of survival games, I can confidently say after 8 years, this game is exactly what I have been looking for! It has the animal crossing-style game loop I have wanted so badly but with such a unique and original graphic design that has my full attention and admiration. It is such a great way to just come home from college and just decompress from a long day or studying.

Things I Love about this Game
  1. The exploration is SUPER fun, with tons of interesting little secrets and puzzles to find as well as tons of activities being super close by to each other. Makes for a unique and interesting journey throughout the world without ever allowing you to get bored.
  2. Going dungeon crawling, farming, task completing or even just trading is all super convenient and fun in their own rights which has me excited to do over and over again. The completing of missions for the town rewards you with an evolving and changing world to reflect your progress which is so sharp!
  3. The tool crafting is super neat, watching your items go from requiring 15 strikes to farm to just 7 or less depending on the tool is very satisfying and gives a proper feeling of progression that is further represented by your tools changing appearance to compliment that feeling.
  4. The graphics are so stunning! With the 2D sprites of the little catchable creatures co-existing with the low poly designs of the players and map makes for such a unique design that has me addicted. The way the real world lighting interacts with the gorgeous water design and earth is so much fun to watch while I wait for my items to craft.
  5. Game is also very well optimized so running at high graphics allows my frame rate to run just as smoothly as those graphics oh-boy!

Personal Nitpicks with the Game
  1. The game is VERY grindy. As your inventory gets full and you discover more locations and new items, you'll have to go back and forth between various locations non-stop just to craft these new items for your profession which is a strenuous activity.
  2. You have to go to the mine to find the ore you need for your tools and objectives but eventually you mine everything close-by so you have to walk a farther and farther distance from spawn just for some iron or copper which is a little tedious.
(I also just hate the mines!)
  3. You are also a glass cannon when mining. If the spider hits you, you teleport back to the surface that forces you to walk all the way back to the barren wasteland that is your heavily escalated mine-shaft
  4. The combat against the spiders is very tedious! When you land a strike on a spider you are forced to wait for their invulnerability to end which makes for a very slow combat system.
  5. I would also ask their be some more reworking on the map in regards to icons.

Additions I would love to see
  1. Glowing items or floating items (Anything to help them be more recognizable)
  2. Adding health that regenerates over time instead of being one shot to spider
  3. Spiders not being invincible when stunned/damaged
  4. Having a charge bar instead of a flashing bubble icon when doing the fish catching game-mode(having to hover your lure over the fish is alright but the blinking bubble just is annoying to me)
  5. Having a Dead by Daylight skill-check style fishing system instead of the hover system (not required but anything would be better than spamming left click to reel the fish in)
  6. Map to be more flushed out with more recognizable landmarks and doorways for better exploration (Highlight map icons, people, doorways and shops)
  7. Turning logs into planks instead of being 1 to 1, maybe 1 to 4.
(I think Minecraft had it spot on with its way of turning of stone into two slabs or one oak block into 4 planks, etc)
  8. Drag and drop inventory
  9. One large player inventory and not one that requires you to scroll down

All-in-all, I love this game and cannot wait to 100% it and come back for seconds. I look forward to the future of this lovely and aesthetic game!

Super fun and short game with super stressful situations scattered throughout. The red fire zombies were a nightmare in Survival mode and was the biggest force that caused me to die and restart with 2 deaths on their behalf.

If it wasn't for the constant crashes and required Uplay software I would say this game is a must have.

The game is fun for the first hour but once you get familiar with the mechanics and layout of the game do you realize how boring and backwards the game really is.

The questions are in their own right interesting and actually fun to think over but you have to level up to earn new topics and trivia questions which is the most neurotic and backwards way of thinking to force on your players when you realize the leveling system is the most boring grind they could have created!

To reach max level and earn all trivia questions, the player is required to earn a combined score of 200k which doesn't sound like a lot until you realize how measly the score you will earn after winning the entire game show! The hours I have in this game is a direct result of cheesing the game and doing the 8 player study sessions which still took 14+ hours to complete and by the time I earned all new trivia questions, was burnt out from the game, deterring me from even checking out the new themes WHICH SUCKS!

To give you an idea of the nightmare that will await you if you choose to play the solo exam matches as developers intended, the player (if they were to win the game show every single time) would have spent around 20-25 minutes just to earn a whopping 2.5k score. With that in mind, it would take you around 33 hours of playtime to get the max level's 200k score requirement WHICH IS INSANE for a player to take on just to earn new trivia questions!

This game literally mirrors the meme from south park where they grind World of Warcraft and after 100s of hours of grinding, can finally proclaim that they may now "finally play the game." THIS IS THAT GAME!

Do yourself the favor if you will do choose to pursue this miserable achievement completion and play 8 player study mode so you can spare yourself the grind and cut it in half.

Also note that you can have at most 2 players in the study mode to be able to earn the "Independent Student" and "Reference Checker" medals for the two achievements. Any more than that and you will not earn the medals for some reason which is another knock off this game.
