Really, Bethesda? Paid mods, again? This must be the third game where everyone gets together to tell you that this is a ridiculous decision. Do better.

It's still in development and it's already fun!

Yes, the game runs smoothly, has cool mechanics and etc. but what I want to share here is a quick comment about the game.
I had some of the best co-op moments ever with friends on this game. I find it interesting that I almost didn't give the game a chance when it first released. The funniest part was that the guy in the group who doesn't believe in ghosts at all was always the first to be attacked and had to constantly run away from the ghosts while swearing. Some comedy gold moments there, I must admit.

It's a boomer shooter. A very good boomer shooter, if I might add.
Feels like Brutal Doom on meth, you should definitely try it (try the game, I mean. Don't do drugs, kids).

A series made for the Xbox that feels more responsive on PC. I still remember the days when I played (some of) those games on the 360 (and halo CE on PC). Those games aged pretty well.
Comparing to the experience you get on console, the game runs smoothly and the higher framerate adds to that feeling. Just remember to check the bindings because they are, for some reason, different for each game on the collection.

Played this for hundreds of hours when I was a kid, time well spent.
Yes, it's still as good (and moddable) as it has always been!
No support for bigger screens but hey, this game is from another era and there are many ways to fix the resolution.

Never underestimate the strengh of escaped lab freaks in large numbers.

Shooting feels good, the performance is in a good state now after some patches, the design of the enemies looks much better than in 3 and most took inspiration on the other previous games, human characters look kinda ugly (I can relate to that lol) and the level design can be hit or miss at times.
EDIT: Many areas that felt like they were kinda empty/boring were rebalanced. That includes a lot of encounters, mind you.
Will update the review as time passes (new patches, having finished the game etc).
