An interesting story based game where choices actually make a difference, and plenty of lore to keep you occupied for 10 good hours. Not usually my type of game as i'm not patient enough to sit and read through dialogue for the most part but I have to say I actually enjoyed this, so if it appeals to me it will appeal to those that like a good book to read.

Graphics are great with that 2.5D retro style and whilst it has the odd typo and bug, it's a pretty well polished game overall. Not to mention the devs are pretty solid when it comes to fixing things, so far. It also runs as smooth as butter so I can't complain about performance.

The negative side isn't much really. I think it could be much longer, bigger ship, more to explore but who knows, there could be DLC further along. The biggest gripe would be the no voice acting, other than the main character during cutscenes. I prefer to listen rather than have to read, but that's just my own personal preference, I think the old school gamers might actually appreciate the non voice acting like back in the day.

Again, for those lore hunters you're looking at a good >10hrs but you can speed through it in around 2hrs if that's your jam, including the achievements (check out my guide) and a fairly easy one to 100%. Price i'd say is reasonable for what it is but it's always going to be on sale at some point so that should solve any problems if you're on the fence.

Overall a thoroughly enjoyable game and whilst short, the story is enough to keep you engrossed throughout. Polished and playable. 8/10.

A very slow paced first person/POV game focused on storytelling that should take around 8-10 hours to complete. It does a great job of drawing you in and encourages you to want to know more without the need for guns or violence.
Graphics are good from what I've encountered although some have mentioned graphical bugs. I did come across several bugs that locked me out at certain points but i think hot fixes may have now patched those up.

My only real gripe about the game is that there are no save points to load to. The game saves automatically as you go but overwrites any previous save, so if you need to go back to a certain point in the game you cant and basically have to start the game from the beginning. Hopefully this will change in a future update but otherwise you're stuck with copying your save file etc.

Overall if you're looking for a storytelling shooter then this is not for you, this is all storytelling and navigating through it nothing more. Very engrossing and enjoyable and will suit anyone that enjoys a slow paced journey through science fiction.

Early Access Review
Bloody mary! One of the scariest games I've played in a very long time.

At first I thought this would be a typical storyline you have to follow with jump scares and all that stuff, but I was completely wrong. Instead you're a team of ghost hunters investigating buildings to track and find out the ghost you're dealing with along with a few other tasks to complete.

This is definitely one of those games best played with friends but it can be played alone (If you dare). It almost has a Slenderman feel to it but requires so much more than just walking around searching for stuff. It's hilarious and scary at the same time and man I don't think I have any nerves left after playing 12hrs or so.

There's plenty of glitches and bugs about but it's a 1 man team developing this game as far as i'm aware, regardless, none of it is game breaking and takes nothing away from the experience.

Get your big boy pants on because this is fun as hell.

Hello all.

Whilst i'm not a fan of these roguelike, permadeath games usually, I have to say i'm very impressed with this game.

It's fast, fun and a little addictive. The runs themselves last about 30-60mins but the story and dialogue just keeps on going. Fail the first time and come back stronger, unlock skills and so much more to make your next run much more easier, and for those who like it difficult have the ability to crank it up a notch once you have completed your first run.

The visuals are superb and comes with zero performance issues, no bugs or glitches just very clean.
The runs themselves may be short but they are different every time with much to aim for to improve your skills etc, the achievements alone will keep you locked in this game for hours n hours, I love it!

No complaints for this one, worth every penny. Impressive.

I haven't put much time into this game as you can see but maaan it's not good.
It's clunky as hell and sub par imo. There is nothing to the game at all and you spend more time loading into the game than you do actually playing it win or lose.

I was expecting a lot more from this game considering the amount of positive reviews the game got across the web, but honestly I find this highly overrated.
The idea behind it is great and the courses are fun but there isn't enough to keep me interested at all, the matches need to be much longer and the clunkyness (If that's such a word) needs to be cleaned up.

I know the game can be frustrating at times but that's not what puts me off, I just expected a lot more from it than what it offers, it's super casual and should be one of those games you get with a cheap 3$ bundle.

I'm sorry but I can't recommend this, there are much better games out there especially at it's current price point. I'm disappointed.

I first started playing this when it was early access and it has had big improvements since. The level of destruction is great and building is almost endless, and since early access they have added tons of items and characters.
It doesn't have much of a storyline but it's all about exploring and collecting more than anything, i still haven't collected everything after so many hours and still haven't finished the achievements!

So if you like to relax, destroy/build stuff and just explore then this game is your kinda thing, although it's not as good as minecraft it is very similar and obviously set in the lego universe. Fly, build, dig, destroy it's all happening in the lego world.

If you're wanting a game for your kids then this will keep them occupied for many many hours and no doubt yourself.

Just to add, performance wise the game has the odd glitchy moment but 99% of the time it's smooth and stable.

Tl:dr A lego version of minecraft but not quite as good. Lots of fun and will keep you and your kids occupied for many hours.

Hello all.

Campaign
Doom Eternal has improved a lot from the previous game, the campaign is so much better. It brings back some old school enemies and makes life that little more difficult and intense without taking away the fun.
There are some cool additions to the weapons and upgrade systems which i feel are much better than the previous doom, especially the super shotgun (Big Bada Boom!) which is just a beast!
As always the graphics and gameplay is fast, smooth and sexy af so you will definitely love the missions, however, the one downside i'd like to note is there is a lot of platforming going on throughout the campaign which i'm not a big fan of, aside from that everything is hunkey dorey.
Rip n Tear my friends, Rip n Tear.

And just to add, i'm not much of a lore guy but i think this reveals a bit too much of the doom slayer and his background.

Online Battlemode/PVP
I wasn't a big fan of the previous pvp in doom 2016 but man, battlemode in this for me i just think is terrible.
I'm not great at it anyway but it gets boring fast with zero variety and communication between players is just rubbish, once a game ends it cuts you off back to the menu to go search for another match, it doesn't just flow into another game.

Also with this game they added events so you're able to unlock icons, skins and stuff like that by gaining exp within a certain amount of days. The great thing about this is you can gain exp towards the events from both the campaign and pvp.
For pvp itself or battlemode as it's called there is no levelling system like in doom 2016, so no armor piece unlocks or echelon levels which is a shame really, but there is a game wide levelling system that also unlocks icons etc but its a bit meh. Bring back the previous pvp i say.

Tl;dr Superb campaign and improvement over the previous doom, but battlemode/pvp sucks and is a big downgrade imo.

I never did play the first game so I can't compare (I am now going to tho), but I have to say this is a brilliant game for those into tower defence games.

There is not a great deal to explain here about gameplay, Its a typical tower defence like every other but its fun, smooth and really well balanced for a change, I didn't come across any performance issues at least which is nice.

As for the maps themselves, they are fairly small, it would have been nice to see much bigger maps just to make things more challenging but they are all still fun to play and still require tactics at times when things get hectic.

Towers and enemies feel well balanced with a good variety of each and plenty of upgrades to help you along the way as well as having a selection of heroes to choose from to help in combat, it's quite enjoyable.

Downsides are not all that bad, the game at least from my perspective is fairly short, with achievements and completing everything it has taken me around 32hrs which for a casual player I guess is fine but for the more power player it isn't very long.
It also seems each map has the same amount of waves, would have been nice to have more waves the further you go in the campaign or maybe have an option to up the waves etc just to crank the difficulty up a notch, which brings me on to my next downside, it might be too easy?

At first it feels somewhat difficult but once you get your hero upgraded and unlock your tower upgrades it becomes really easy, in fact, I think I played the entire game and lost on maybe 2 maps at most and did the rest first time.
Heroic mode and Iron did turn out a bit more tricky but still, I feel everything was a tad too easy maybe, but certainly not enough to dislike the game or gameplay.

Overall tho a fantastic game that's well worth playing, definitely a thumbs up from me, just next time id like to see more and bigger levels with some extra waves and difficulty, but I thoroughly enjoyed it none the less and so will you.
