Original Release Date: January 4, 2012

Warning: Contains THE FEELS!

I played this before it landed on Steam.

What I admire most is that this game feels realistic. No fantasy or otherworldly bullcrap.

This game was originally intended for mature audiences due to it containing adult content. However, this release severes that content and is available again via a restoration patch on the official website

Get this game.
Now, if you want a ride of your life.
Valiant Hearts is the best fictional take on World War 1, It manages to be Fun, Unique and Depressing, All with a Comic Book finish.
A priority on puzzles and stealth, and a trusty Canine Companion
And you don't have to kill anyone in this game, unlike all other World War 1 themed games where its all killing

I recommend this game for people who aren't into Video Games as well because of its simplicity, and it being based off a real event.

This is one of those 100% Linear games with no Replay Value, The PC Version doesn’t have Achievements either…

Child of Light is a Fun and Unique Turn Based RPG with a stylish finish, I myself am not a big fan of Turn Based RPG Games but i see Child of Light as an exception because of its characteristics;
- Fun and Unique Combat
- Cool Watercolor Art Style
- Satisfying
- Great Story
- Great Soundtrack
- Funny Dialogue and Characters
- Super Well Optimized, My Steam Deck can run it in docked mode at Full 4K 60fps while hardly breaking a sweat.

The Art Style is excellently done and is super smooth.
This ain’t your regular Turn Based RPG

I determined this review from playing and completing Child of Light which I claimed for free via a free promotion in Uplay back in March 2020.

Early Access Review
Another Live Service game from a Evil Corporation. one that can’t even add Achievements into their games.

This game is repetitive just like any other, I tried it for some time and was immediately bored primarily from the Mechanics.

it has Live Service stuff and Microtransactions to try and reel Players back in and also make them throw out some money, i feel there are too many of these games nowadays and its annoying,

I will mention this game is very unopimized and my Steam Deck can hardly run this at 30fps!

Just don’t bother with this.

Real Review
An Underwhelming and Short Sequel to Valiant Hearts: The Great War. Not bad but not good, The original Valiant Hearts was a powerful game and managed to be fun for what it was, but this one… not so much.

Its better you watch a Playthrough of this because it will basically be the same experience, considering what this game is.

I give this a negative review because Ubisoft.
It requires their STUPID Launcher, Has no Steam Achievement Support, No Family Sharing, PC Version has graphical issues, Awful Audio Problems and has ZERO Steamworks Functionality. This would have been the perfect Title to release on Steam if it had functionality like Game Invites and Achievements but considering Ubisoft it was all screwed up

Bugs and Issues

I will mention the Online Component is EXTREMELY buggy. With constant disconnects and broken Enemies

This new edition doesn’t offer Cross Platform Play for some reason, despite almost every game this decade having that it’s basically essential now. Just a heads up if you plan to play it Online

This version also has gameplay issues if you try to run it above or below 60fps

End & Conclusion

This is a great, fun game. Just a bad port which is why it is Not Recommended. It is still a viable option but just be aware of the flaws.
I sunk over 30 Hours into this game elsewhere, Completed it as all 7 Characters, Unlocked all Trophies and even placed #1 on Score Rankings.

I do NOT recommend this version of the game due to many issues listed above. I recommend other versions if you have other systems its available on

Or even better. Play the PS3 Edition of Scott Pilgrim via the legal PS3 Emulator which is how i play instead of this sloppy and barebones port.
