With the exception of the dodgy graphics settings, this game is a massive improvement over CS1.

Just disable depth of field in your graphics settings, and the low fps problems will disappear.
Playing at 4K, the graphics are a considerable upgrade.

The gameplay itself is superior in every way to the first game, more difficult, more complex, and far more rewarding. The actual simulation speed is better too. It is obvious where they prioritised their efforts. Making the game truly multi core is the reason for the far better performance. late game slow down is all but gone for me. If you have the cores, this game will use them.

I also have not noticed any big end of day/month pauses, and the game has not shown any hint of crashing, and very few glitches (occasionally the land quickly turning black, then back again)

I would definitely recommend this game for veteran players and newbies alike.

Just double check the graphical options before you start ;)
Played on a 5800x3d and 6800xt combo.

This could be a fun game. EVEN IN 2021.

Sadly all enjoyment is completely killed by the UI.
It is awful. Menu after menu after menu....
A quick pop up that is uninformative is all you will get to guide you through these menus.
The mission list is useless, the map is useless. I have no idea if i have even completed a mission or not, because it does not delete these completed and visited waypoints, or locations, or missions.
Want to upgrade your characters, or gear. Good luck, because it is a ball achingly boring affair that gives no feeling of accomplishment. I just want to play a game, not navigate through menus or feel like i'm at work.

I want to love this game, i must have player the first 3 games for thousands of hours on the xbox.
The UI just robs all the enjoyment.
Mass Effect Andromeda, the menu simulator.

A fantastic game, with the best swordplay i have seen in a game.
It has a steep learning curve, and will take hours of practice to get any good, but it is well worth it!

The story line is engaging, different, and enjoyable.

The graphics are beautiful. Especially in 4k.
A lot of the driver issues with AMD gpus seem to have been solved too.
I run at 4k, with a tweaked vega 56, and the frame rate is steady and consistent between 40 and 45 even in the big city Rattay, with high settings.

Beautiful game, with engaging game play, and a good story.
8.5 out of 10!

Great game, once you get used to losing, again, and again, and again.

I made the mistake of buying this game AFTER i had played Kingdom Come Deliverence.
After the amazing combat of that game, this game feels very clunky, pooly animated, and very very boring.
The storyline and dialogue within the first few minutes of the game starting, are so poor that i already just did not care about the characters, or where they have been and what their stories were.
If you want open world, go skyrim, if you want a great story and amazing gameplay, go Kingdom Come.
If you want disappointment, and regret, and total bordom, go Witcher 3.
It doe's look good though.
