Very good DLC however do beware, if you're a NG+x gamer the DLC DOES scale and is harder on subsequent NG+ cycles. Also you can't really overlevel for this DLC since you are forced to get a new upgrade material that buffs your character significantly (the buff only applies to the DLC realm)

A lot of the effects exclusive to the DLC tank performance so beware. The final boss is the WORST offender so i'd consider skipping this DLC if your rig already struggles with the base game.

The weapons added to this DLC make a lot of niche builds from the base game actually fun and gives us more than 1 option to choose from (int/faith builds got a decent amount of love in this DLC in terms of weapons). The Dex/Faith hybrid build got the most love in this DLC when it comes to weapons.

The bosses seem to be balanced around the "deflecting hardtear" which is an item you can get fairly early into the DLC which basically allows you to perfect block attacks even with a smaller weapon such as a dagger or katana (think: sekiro). You take no chip damage and the stamina damage and recovery after blocking is MASSIVELY reduced. I went through the entire DLC with this item and it made the bosses much more enjoyable yet not trivial due to the flurry of attacks some bosses in this DLC have. There's even some bosses with frame perfect roll catches making the use of this tear a MUST for no hit running some bosses.
