This game will eat your life away.. And you will love every second of it. This is one of my favorite turn based strategy game of all time. The AI is brutal on all settings. They will punish you for every mistake you make and you still jump for joy when you turn the tables on them in return.

I would seriously recommend getting the DLC Enemy Within and just playing that instead of the base game though. It fixes some issues with Enemy Unknown while adding a hell of a lot of game play too.

Solid space strategy game with good levels of AI to combat.

Fun game with an interesting combat system and an anime style.

But.. It's old. I would have recommended this game about 4 years ago. I find that it's really gone down hill. They've tried to add to much without fixing a lot of problems. The player base has also dropped off hard.

If you want an anime style MORPG than you should look else where. They are like thousand other games to play other than this.

Been playing Dota since WC:RoC. Still a solid game even to this day. I'll never understand how everyone fell so in love with LoL with DotA around.

One word of warning.. The communtiy is awful. If you've never played before don't even think about playing with other players till you've spent around 100 hours with the bots learning the basics. After that.. Get ready to be hated on for every little thin you do. If you do something right, you still did it the wrong way.

If you can't deal with trolls than you should avoid this game 100%

Update: Came back after 10 years to see whats new. Still fun. Movement is still the best feeling in a looter/shooter I've played. Guns feels good and a wide range of options. Melee still feels the best. Biggest changed I'd say is its not pay to play anymore. It does feel easier to get the frames now (still super grindy). The worst part is the new user experience and onboarding is still dog water. Watching guides and streamers to learn is fine but without that I don't think I would have seen the paths to enjoying this game.

Fun game play. Easy to get into. Good balance of sword and gun fighting styles.

But... You will never get to enjoy this game fully without spending so much money that you go bankrupt. Everything in this game is made for you to spend money or have to grind 100 hours to find the one random blueprint to unlock your next Warframe...

Avoid unless you have some extra cash to blow.

Crazy style built on the FarCry3 engine? Hell yes. If you like over the top game play and 80's style sci-fi then you will love this game.
