The battle pass hate is valid but personally I don't care about it as it doesn't change game play or anything though overall it's scummy for a full price game that was backed extremely well on kick starter. What gets me most about this game is the extremely repetitive encounters. Each island will have roughly six TemTems and they will get shoved in your face non-stop. Not to mention every npc immediately has the final evolution of these TemTems, immediately spoiling you of the excitement of wondering what everything will evolve into. The game goes out of its way to make you sick of seeing these TemTems as quickly as possible. This lack of variety in TemTems, combined with the mediocre at best designs and endless onslaughts of npc fights, makes it really tiring to try and play this game. I haven't liked the past few pokemon games and hoped TemTem would be an alternative for my monster collecting itch but this game has only helped me better realize what Pokemon still does right and how TemTem messed this up.

One quick little extra note can the npcs just shut up for once. I cannot stand the cringey dialogue that never ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ends. Some npc fights take an extra minute of quirky lines with embarassing meme references and the humor of a terminally online 14 year old

I played this game when I was like 12 and now it's on steam and I can't stop playing it because I have small monkey brain and that ♥♥♥♥♥ got me like shoowedoowedoo ehshoowedoowedoo

8/10 could of used without the obnoxious anime girl and needs more taiko no tatsujin rhythm game action at the bottom of the screen.
