This review doesn't cover Multiplayer as i am not a fan of online games.

After so long of wait, finally Mortal Kombat XL comes to PC. And i have to say i am very happy with it. Firstly i got the PS4 Kollector's Edition. Unfortunately i can't redeem anything due to Sony regions locked. The next day i went out to get the Limited Edition on PC on Retail. I can finally redeem goro! But Honestly, i wasn't impressed with the PC version when it was first released. Graphically, the PS4 version looks better at first, and it was smoother, i was on 780ti. There were missing actions and taunts from the characters after selection and heard a lot of online problems.

So i stick the ps4 version for some time and got MKXL on PS4. It was a good treat and how i wish i get the same treatment on the PC. And finally here it is, after so long not touching the game on PC, i decided to purchased the kombat packs and then booted up the free patched MKXL on my PC, i was amazed! Truly amazed how well the game looks and run now. Am using GTX 1070 now. It looks so much better and it plays way better. Both my Fightstick, Xinput and Dinput works on this game. Not to mention works good with keyboard except few navigations in the menu, but thats a small issue. Also works well with xbox one and 360 controller. This is how the PC version should play out in the first place.
But thank u QLoc and WB for fixing up the mess, this and arkham knight is finally great on PC!

I wanna say if u have a good card, GTX 970 and above, u should get the PC version. Otherwise stick to the console. As the PS4 and Xbox One version plays at 60fps too.

Only downfall on the pc is the x-ray is capped at 30fps! Otherwise, i'd like to thank WB and Qloc for finally making things up on the PC!

This review is made after all patching has been made.
(NOTE: SSD Is not neccessary, am running on normal HDD with 7200rpm on 2TB WD Black with ZERO hiccups)

Let me start off by saying the game could be unstable on certain systems. But let me assure you this. At first before all the patches, yes..i couldn't agree more that the game was really unoptimized and has lotsa graphical glitches. After patches, it gets better but still isn't that well optimized.
So what i did is upgrade to 16GB DDR3 RAM, and it fixes some of the performance issues, but still can't use gameworks with 780ti due to video memory limitations. Then i upgraded to GTX 1070, and i couldn't be more happier that i don't have any major problems with the performance even with Gameworks Enabled.

i have both the PS4 and PC version. Theres still some rain features that doesn't look as detailed as the PS4 version especially on Batman's suit, but its still there on the PC version, except it isn't as much as the PS4 version. But overall graphics are awesome on PC especially if u are playing on 4K @ 30fps. Seriously it looks amazing.

On 1080p the other hand, am able to run the game at 60fps constantly with all gameworks features enabled, but the graphics could look a little muddy because of the limitations of the Anti Aliasing. One disappointment on the graphic side is the usage of Fog and smoke. In the past arkham games, there are a lot of areas that uses smoke and fog and even papers. But not in arkham knight. there isn't really much to see here with smoke and fog. Also i believe after several patches, the devs lowered down the amount of smoke coming out from the Batmobile tyres whics is a disappointment as well. Also some areas where there used to be lotsa smoke density gets lowered down too...thats a shame..

Sound is Superb. All the details could be heard clearly and 5.1 is awesome especially if u have a good soundcard and speakers.

Controls, depending on your taste but i recommend an xbox one controller, except during the tank battles, keyboard and mouse works very well!

Overall, i recommend the game on PC especially if u have a good rig. But on AMD i couldn't guarantee the same. I purchased all the DLCs on PC because i think it's cheaper than the PS4, unless u wanna play the scarecrow nightmare, which is just basically Race, then get the PS4 version.

I just hope WB wont make a mess anymore on the PC version of future games. Pls get Monolith to port the games for PC if possible. Apart from that, Batman Arkham Knight on PC is still a great choice.

Game Running on

The PC Port is not Perfect, there are few slowdowns or stutter especially when on different camera angle.
Good thing reducing the AA Level to 2 or 0 eliminates it.
There are 5.1 surround support. Keyboard can be bind but isn't perfect either. Example arrow keys can't be bind with modifier. Recommended to play with a Controller.
I have to say the graphics are a bout 10% sharper than the PS4 version due to Native 1080p. So you can actually see the details on the skin of the wrestlers much more.
So far i'd say that 2K has made the right choice by bringing this to PC. Keep doing it and the optimization will be better.

I've already bought the collector's edition on PS4 and owned all the DLCs so far. I'd say without the DLC the game is a barebone. Good thing PC gets it as well.
I recommend anyone with a proper gaming rig to get the PC version if you wish to play more wwe games on PC in the future. I simply got this just to give support to 2K for releasing this on PC.
Enjoying it so far on PC and PS4. It's not really a bad game.

Honestly, i didn't expect this game to be great despite the remade was originally made for the nintendo gamecube! I'm so thankful to make this purchase.

The controls are a bit wanky at first especially on the new alternative control method since am not used to it. After spending 20hrs..i'd say that i didnt regret spending time and money on this. You will get hang of the controls after a while. Gamepad is recommended for fast play. If u wish to use the keyboard, the original control is the way.

In terms of graphics, i'd say its quite a good looking game. Though some areas the background is a little bit blurry, but i wouldn't sweat it.

Gameplay is still a classic resident evil with multiple camera angles and limitation of saves and bullets. Which is pretty challenging. There are quite a few unlockables which is pretty interesting.

The sound is where it falls short. I've purchased this on PS4 as well and the 5.1 is amazing for PS4. But on the PC, its good but not as great as the PS4 version. Voice acting and dialogues are still a little bit weak..good thing they don't talk much! LOL!

Overall..i enjoyed the game..and can't wait to try for the 5th time. There are few slowdowns, but if u are playing with Nvidia GTX 560 and above..or AMD 7870 and above, shouldnt be much of problem! Overall! 9/10!
