It's not hard if you use the resources the game gives you. I've played the dlc three times now, and my last run was by far the easiest, as I made sure to collect all the player upgrades, and used summons when needed.

If you really struggle, don't feel bad reaching out and asking for help, so long as you're enjoying the game, that's what matters

I've beaten this game 4 times yet still want more, it's one of the best games I've ever played, and my only problem with it is that it makes it hard to go back to other games.

Ive spent more time on this game than I'd like to admit, I've left TF2 and came back too many times to count, always thinking that the game would finally fix itself and improve.

I'm finally done with these honeymoon cycles. This is a problem and it's been going on for far too long. This game is now dangerous to play, yet the only updates we see anymore are for new cosmetics and skins.

Although I wouldn't call this an "improved" version of Half-Life (the lack of cockroaches and the inclusion of dynamic drops forever ensures that), I will say that this game is very good, and an easy recommendation, even to those who have never played a game in the franchise!

This was a mod that always kept me on edge, as soon as I thought I had this mod figured out, it threw something new at me that I've rarely, if ever, seen another HL2 mod do. This game was truly great, and a worthwhile experience for anyone interested in Half-Life mods.

If you're the kind of person that really cares about the plot of HL2 though, I wouldn't recommend this game for it's story, it tried to tie itself it with the greater world and conflict around the rebellion vs the Combine, but it doesn't necessarily understand what the rebellion is capable of, or has the materials to make, alongside a whole slew of other things.

But in my opinion, the most important thing that matters in a HL2 mod is that it's fun, and that I can grantee it is!

As of yesterday, 3 days after the game released on steam, I 100%-ed the game and my only complaint is that I want MORE! Its absolutely fantastic and well worth your time and money. Fantastic VA, gameplay, story, visuals, music, etc.

Update: I loved this game so much that I kept giving myself more and more personal achievements to complete, and I still haven't gotten tired of this game

If you are here for the original story, the original is free, but if you enjoyed the atmosphere of the early parts of act 1, and wanted bonus content, its a good deal.

The only problem I have is that I really, really want the additional songs available only in this version of the game, the only way to get it to my knowledge is to buy the physical version on consoles. I am a big fan of the OST and would love it if it was provided in the game (or came in the original game's fan pack).

Otherwise I have no problem, all of the additional content is great and worth the additional $15 for anyone who loved the original and wanted more time with the original characters

I haven't played enough to tell you if its good enough or not. But so far its pretty great!

I was able to play this with a friend yesterday, and after using low quality peter griffin I found out that this is the greatest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game of all time.

The gameplay is boring and confusing. If I had a dollar for every time I said "what the f#ck do I do?" I could pay people to make a better mod. In terms of looks: it's eh, at times it looks better than hl2, but other times it looks like trash.
And the story doesn't exist, which is a shame because the idea of an artist during such an oppressive world sounds really spectacular. But in actuality its just john doe using bleh looking guns doing ♥♥♥♥ that's completely confusing and is sometimes in a spaceship. I haven't finished this mod, so maybe it becomes the best damn game in the world, but what I have played has been unrelentingly awful that I don't want to play it any more.
