From the outset Narita Boy is a feast for the eyes and ears. It's absolutely gorgeous and chock full of little nods, references and love notes to '80s and retro culture. The gameplay is pretty tight and while some of the fights can be a little tricky to master and the controls can occasionally be a bit finicky, I never felt "cheated" when I died. It took me, a clumsy gamer, about 13 hours to complete live on stream and would probably take a skilled player much less but I think the game is a good length. The story is well paced and can be genuinely moving at times. I have had a lot of fun with it and will definitely be playing it again soon!

EDIT: I started speedrunning it. Narita Boy is a fantasic hidden gem for speedrunners!
