Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii offers a new look at Goro Majima's goofiness by leaning into the pirate life with the consequence of amnesia. However, these cliche tactics are still important in introducing fresh new characters without being awkward.

On the other hand, bringing back Mad Dog and introducing Sea Dog and pirate combat makes this game more variable and innovative. But, the downside of making a wind tunnel for the pirate ship still lingers in the back of my mind.

This game's graphics are sharper than previous Yakuza/Like a Dragon games, especially on the shadows aspect. The unique quality of their pieces of music and audio makes this game even more addicting to play longer and longer.
