The game won't even launch properly now - crashes to desktop. I will change this to a glowing review once the servers are fixed and when I CAN ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME WITHOUT CRASHING!

Fun game - Phasmophobia but in Egyptian Tombs. A bit reductive calling it Phasmophobia - but most definitely the closest things I can tangibly compare the game to. I highly recommend to those that enjoy Phasmophobia's gameplay style!

Been loving the game so far - probably the most fun I've ever had in an economic simulator to date. I have not touched a major nation yet, as I have been really enjoying the challenge of ruling and expanding a Crown colony under the the thumb of the British Empire. Difficult but enjoyable nonetheless! I can see myself putting hundreds of hours into this game - especially once DLC drops for the game.

I do agree with the critique of the warfare system - or lack thereof - and I sincerely hope that this issue gets addressed in future DLC for the game. As much as I dislike the warfare mechanic, most of my playtime has simply been dedicated to the economic and political expansion of my nation as opposed to invading other countries. I have played Victoria 2, and I very much preferred that system of warfare - which allowed you to recruit specific states population for engaging in future conflicts.

Perhaps the greatest reason for my non-hatred of the warfare system in Victoria 3 however, probably comes from the fact that if I wanted something more warfare centred - then i'd simply go play Hearts of Iron 4, which just recently released a DLC adding in further chain of command changes and additions as well as a brand spanking new plane designer! Of course I understand the opposite side of the argument too. I was kind of hoping for a more involved method of conducting warfare like was seen in Victoria 2 but alas, it was not to be.

I'm still going to give a positive review for Victoria 3 however as the warfare system, despite it's issues - can and WILL be changed by paradox in future DLC. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting them to completely forgo the front-line system entirely in favour of individual unit placement. As much as i'd like to see that happen, I simply doubt that will be the case due to the vast amount of changes and what not they'd have to overhaul. What I do expect to be added however is further consequences of invasion on populations, greater leader to General discussion and vice versa. Perhaps adding the function of military-run states for especially dissident pops with according consequences of said military-run states.

I don't know what the future holds for Victoria 3 but I do know this - most Paradox games (except for Imperator Rome) only get better with time through the release of DLC. Hearts of Iron IV is a notable example, amongst Stellaris and Europa Universalis IV - so I'm very much looking forward to see what exciting governmental, economic, military and overall game balance that Victoria 3 will receive in the months (or hopefully years) to come!

100% Recommend this beautifully crafted VR Atmospheric Horror game without a doubt! There's still a few issues to work out of course; for instance the interaction physics when opening cabinets/drawers could be a bit more responsive (currently you have to force your hand into the side of the drawer to open it).

Other than that; this game is a must to buy in my opinion. It's a full VR title with hours of content to enjoy. I like to go by a Hour to Pound ratio to determine if I got my money's worth from the game (and my general enjoyment of it). I paid £23.79 for this game and currently have 28.3 Hours on record; so i'd say it's worth the initial price. Even more so if it's on sale!

Edit 21/07/2022: As of the 2.3 update; interaction with cabinets, drawers (etc.) have been tremendously improved - allowing for a much smoother and immersive experience. They also recently added a guitar which is very fun to play and mess about with. Very much looking forward to see the future updates this game has in store for it!

It's pretty fun - and that's coming from a guy that has, primarily, spent most of his playtime playing Germany. Imagine how many hours you could get if you played more than just ONE nation? A LOT, that's what ;)

I must say, this is by far the most scariest game I have ever played in VR; and I've spent a lot of time in Phasmophobia in comparison. This port has filled me with rapturous glee at the mere notion of being able to walk around the very facility which I used to play on Flatscreen (Non-VR) a good while back. Being able to do this in VR is immensely uplifting and Euphoric, ESPECIALLY since it has been ported amazingly by the team behind the VR port. What's more is the fact that Multiplayer functionality will soon be coming to the game as stated by the devs which for me: would be the upmost perfect VR Co-Op horror game to experience with friends (or randomers if they add that feature of course) outside of Phasmophobia.

I have high hopes for this games future as the dev/s seem very passionate about creating an authentic port of the classic SCP: Containment Breach. I sincerely commend them for their vigorous efforts in bringing this Gem of a horror game to the VR scene and I can only hope that as time passes by, the game will only get better!

My last note about this game is this: IT'S FREE!!! So why not give it a shot eh ;)
