The new servers are starting off pretty strong. The player base is there, and the game is as fun as ever. I'm someone who had played the game on and off since launch, and am getting back into it with the start of the new servers. These new servers have the full content of the game on them which is a lot. The game has implemented a lot of free goodies and boosts that lets players, especially returning ones, to speed past the first 100 levels or so of the game, which I appreciate. It might be a bit confusing for a new player, but if you have trouble please reach out in the community groups or find a guild -- the players in the game tend to be very helpful for newbies.

The game itself is pretty unique with its turn by turn based combat. I really enjoy the mechanics of the game, which I haven't been able to find any similar to yet. The pseudo-history story of the game is also pretty interesting to me, and covers the entire globe.

The game doesn't require you to pay to play, though some paid things grant great bonuses and quality of life (namely the premium package that has the licenses and blessing). If you want to be #1 in PVP, then you'll likely need to pay to win, but if you want to just enjoy the game in PvE, or are less competitive in PvP, then playing without paying is completely possible.

If you're interested at all, check out the game! Its unique and not like any other that I've played, still holds up today, and has a dedicated player base.

The current version seems to be riddled with issues for me. It will not run at my native (1440p) resolution (works for 1080p), and when ingame there is insane stuttering and poor performance overall. I tried playing but only got a massive headache within minutes due to these issues. I hope this can be fixed sometime since the game itself is a classic, but I can not reccomend playing it on a modern computer in this state.

Each iteration of the Elder Scrolls after Morrowind gets incrementally more dumbed down. Play this game for the full RPG experience.

From playing the game for a little while so far, here are my thoughts.

The game is simple, with the bare minimal to work as a visual novel.
The UI could use a lot of polishing/work to look cleaner and more consistent.
The 3 save slots could definitely be increased. There aren't too many choices but its better to have more slave slots then not enough. The character art looks solid, especially for what looks like the first release by this group (person?), but the backgrounds and variation of artwork could be improved. Text skips should also be included, so we don't have to wait for the sentences to fully scroll before continuing. There are also occasional hiccups with artwork being incorrectly displayed for a few frames.

The story isn't too bad, though I have yet to finish it. The characters are all pretty distinctive, and play on many cliches and tropes. There are also a lot of references to the real world. (Intendo, Fire Shield, etc) It is amusing, and doesn't take itself seriously at all. The music is decent as well, though a little repetitive.

The game is just three dollars though, and the store page screenshots pretty much show exactly what you're going to get, at this price I can say I feel like you could do a lot worse. Plus, this game has catgirls.

Cheap and fun for a few minutes while you're bored and have nothing to do.

Also has trading cards.

Worth the 49 cents I paid (well I was gifted, but its worth 49 cents)

Like Touhou, but on steam and with trading cards. Fun with varying difficulty. (Easy is easy, Exceed is near impossible)
