Maybe if the devs listened and allowed you to skip the terrible, union-pandering stuff, this would be better. But the fact you are expected to sit there and listen while they rant about things you don't care about without a way to skip it is ridiculous to me.

I want to play fun spaceship-salvaging game, not be told all about how company bad, union good.

Right now, every time I die with half an army hanging around one the opposing side of me and being unable to tell those damned minions to actually push against the enemy and keep them the hell away from me, I just get annoyed at the game more. It doesn't matter if you have more units than the enemy if you can't get away from their units attacking you directly because the rest of your forces are too busy admiring the countryside.

The gameplay is fun, but the physics glitches, the jank interface and the myriad of other early-access issues turn it from a fun experience into a race between frustration and satisfaction. I'd love to finish my journey, but when I start fall-teleporting through the deck for the fiftieth time because of the waves when I'm trying to direct my ship, I just decide it's not worth it.

Give the game another couple of years to cook and hopefully by then the issues will be fixed, but for right now, despite the fact I love this game, I can't recommend it in the current state that it's in.

Just a disguised rage-game, would not recommend.

Sony haven't made the game available in countries where PSN can't be readily acquired. High chance that they will simply go ahead with their plans regardless.

But the game itself is fun.

The Neural Calibration ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is not something I am good at, and the fact that if you can't do it, well haha, only the Captain can so get screwed, is stupid.

The controls are unpleasant and the game map is too small to allow for people who aren't good at using the movement system to really survive.

The game itself is fun and entertaining, but the business practices surrounding the game are antagonistic and predatory at best, actively malicious at worst.

I would fully recommend purchasing the game either at a heavy discount, or from a third party retailer that gives an even smaller cut, or no cut at all, to Creative Assembly, because their behaviour should not be encouraged, it should be vilified.

Or, in other words: VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT ONE THING - THE BOTTOM LINE.

Not fun.

Game has absolutely zero consideration for new players.
