It seems like there is a decent story beyond all the underwhelming visuals (considering it being pixel art), and broken objective triggers, but it's not interesting enough to brute force through all that!

CDPR's lack of combat balancing is persistent even in their standalone Gwent game, The whole game is just about metas and sometimes the "meta" decks are far-superior vs a decent deck that you'd have a better chance just to farm materials(keep playing despite losing) and craft the remaining cards instead of trying to be smart with what you have.

I'm not exactly an expert of the Card-Games but as a beginner to the genre the game was really fun in the beginning with starter decks vs starter decks and gradually ruined by the OP neutral cards. The fact that playing certain gold cards as the last card of the round is basically determinant of winning/losing is just nerve-wracking.

But I guess it's a free to play game and it's not as pay to progress/win as much as most of F2P games.

The fact that IGN gave it a 6.5/10 should suffice to play it.

It's ABZU but more humane, much more straight forward with one hell of a music score.

A must buy if you enjoy single-player games and immersion, multiplayer games and directional sounds, listening to podcasts and streamers talk about the stuff you don't need to know about and many other genre specific options. It's been running on windows startup since I got it and steam doesn't count the hours so decide for yourself, but proceed with caution as if you hear this you won't be able to go back to the normal sound output.

And a word with steam improve your terrible software advertisement I found this app on 7th page!

The question is would you force children to work in mines, get them injured in the process and force them back to work? only to come back to their homes and eat a low quality food with sawdust added to it, then get sick from cold and lose a limb?
it is a soviet union simulator and the enemy is the cold.

Don't get overwhelmed by all the busy scenes and complexion, this is the finest total war experience in terms of content and replayability to this date. the only downside is the DLC system, it's too complex and pricey, for some of them you need to own the previous game which is a shame because DLCs are still kinda overpriced on their own.

Overall a lot of content is locked behind paywalls but the base game is so rich that these mfs get a pass.

Dean hall baited me into buying DayZ Standalone, Dean hall baited me into buying ICARUS.
He had the benefit of the doubt because Bohemia is just an awful company, He shall not have it now cuz he published his own game.

No I couldn't experience the content the way I wanted and I am pretty minimalistic.
It's not even about GPU/CPU/RAM optimization as others are saying this game needs a light-speed SSD to do a 180 degree mouse turn without hitching.

Early Access Review
Game is not as polished as you want it to be, but everything is awesome at core and they are on the right track as far as gameplay elements go.
they had a few bad launches true but there is something about this game that makes it so special and original, it is not a battlefield clone, nor a cod clone.

it has its own middle ground between simulation and arcade gameplay, something between Escape From Tarkov, COD , and old Battlefield games. it has a well-balanced weight system, a decent armor vs ammo type system, more punishing ammo/health replenishing, actually good time to kill, and the best part the flag circulation of this game is much better than BF4-1-V-2042 that it actually reminds me of organized maps like Operation Firestorm, Caspian Border.

Overall the only cons are the sound effects and optimization and lack of polish in movement and some animations, I got the packs to support the devs they have limited budget and tools but they have the vision on the right path.

Okay after 210 hours and 110 levels I have everything in the game including a ton of cosmetic items that I liked, It's been a fun grind but from here on there is nothing inviting in the game. almost half of the content is recycled in the cover of new updates so I doubt Rockstar actually cares about RDO.

There is a RP mode similar to what's going on in GTA V so you might give that a shot as well but as far as the original game goes 50-150 hours is the average range of getting bored and that is if you really like the settings and RDR2.
The first 100 hours is a grind-fest it will ease down after that but not really, mostly because you start to run out of things to buy.

The game is PvE at its core and has a nonfunctional PvP base, OP perks let you use your single-player inspired dead eye in multiplayer and higher level players have better perks/builds and tonics/potions and actual more hitpoints to counter your spongy bullets, PvE gets boring so fast mostly because the game throws enemies at you for random unknown reasons(similar to single-player).

Game has a huge problem with obvious hackers and a much bigger problem with legit-like hackers, the first group will burn your character even in defensive mode, make your character unable to do any interaction with the game world, spawn treasure chests that will get you banned and a lotta other creative ideas. the second group are much much worse because with the first one you can still avoid them by finding another session the second group render your grind useless cuz somehow rockstar's awful RAGE engine cannot make a decent multiplayer and almost every data should be on client's side and on Peer-to-Peer servers the ultimate low-cost business plan of rockstar.

You put hundreds of ours into your game but an average joe could run a simple cheat-engine script and get everything you have.

If you can get on with everything that I said congratulations you have hundreds of hours of entertainment on your hands.
