As for the Avalon recommendation comments, I noticed they disappeared, but they're back there now.
Summary: It would be a good buy for 15$, ok at 20$, but its really not worth $40.
Cool, thought you were about my age! (I'm 32). I used to help map Wizardry on a green-screen Apple 2e with my dad and his buddy when I was 4. (I counted the steps/turns as my dad mapped).
And yeah, some games manage to pull off that flawless balance of graphics, sound and plot. Bioware before EA was a great example of an RPG dev that made awesome games in every way. I cried when I found out they were being bought by EA during dev of DA:O, knowing one of the devs that manage to create the best RPGS ever, was getting bought by the notorius crap-fest we-dont-care-as-long-as-it-makes-us-cash producer.
But the story of EA making me pay 13$ extra over new for DA2(see above crap-fest comment) due to their crappy DRM is a story for a different time.
Glad to see theres other oldschool games on here tho!
