There is no Part 3. Pathetic.

It's honestly not scary, but that's not an issue. The story resonated with me. So many people spend their whole lives fighting, just to barely survive. For what? So the oil rig stays afloat for a few hours longer? Why delay the inevitable? It's important to see the bigger picture. That you never stood a chance from the start. And it's ok. Accepting one's fate is a hard pill to swallow. If you're going to die anyways, at least you can try to make an impact.

From a technical standpoint, I did not get the best framerate on my older rig with a GTX 1080 and AMD Ryzen 1600x. I got about 24-26 fps with everything maxed, so it kinda played like the cinematic experience it was. There was not much performance difference between quality levels and honestly the game looked amazing even on the lowest settings.

This little gem is incredible. Yes, it's rather short, but the gameplay is interesting and the atmosphere is awesomely done. The music is great and sets the tone well. Also, while the themes are similar to The Long Dark, this game is actually finished. I wish the developer had been able to take this as far as they had wanted.

This game feels like home. I am as alone in this game as I am in real life.

Bought it. Played for 12 minutes. Forgot about it for the next 5 years. Saw it in my library, went "oh wow, how did I not finish Puzzle Puppers? Completed it in the next few hours. I really enjoyed it except for the last level and the levels where you kinda just have to guess/trial and error with the holes.

This game is really well made, has quite a bit of content in it as long as you're not holding the run button down like a 'content creator', and there's good attention to detail. I think the themes were fitting, and it just made sense and spoke to me. Definitely spooked me in a way that games from big publishers can't. Indie titles just have so much love put into them.

Alien Isolation but instead of being trapped on a space station you're trapped in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ World War 1 bunker.

Edit: terrifying even after you've completed it several times.

The car engine sounds are awful/uninspiring but the rest of the game is very well made. Should have been priced at or higher than $10. There's a lot of content to get through in singleplayer. Runs well, looks good, is fun to play. For the price there's no reason to not pick it up, if you like racing games. I can vibe to this.

Edit: Took me about 7-ish hours to fully complete. I still need to collect all the achievements now. Winning each race once, I only had enough money to get the starter car, save up for the Supra, fully upgrade it, and then eventually get the R35. (Could not afford to fully upgrade R35 without doing a few repeats, and when it was upgraded I only had like 1 or 2 new races left)

Only things I would change is maybe add a rear view mirror or an indicator of where the AI cars are behind you. Sometimes they can rear end you like Forza players and you'll never see it coming. Their engine sounds are also quiet so that adds to the surprise.

It's hard but it's very satisfying once you know how to play decently. Lots of fun to be had with either PVP or PVE, and there are time limited/seasonal events and updates still happening. The gameplay and audio design is incredibly good. It's probably one of the best shooters I have ever played.

I wish there were more games like this in the world.

It took me about 11 hours and 20 minutes to complete the game on my first blind playthrough. I explored every inch, collected just about everything, talked to all the characters, and in general just soaked it up.

Is this game difficult or does it even have any gameplay elements to master? Absolutely not. Your movement consists of left stick + jump button. Despite that, its just so visually satisfying that it never gets boring. The level design is superb and the detail makes you want to explore. The audio direction of sound effects and music could not set the stage any better.

It's an interesting world explored from a unique cat perspective. You can count the number of games where you play as an animal on one hand. While most consider the cat a meme, I am personally tired of always playing as humans or human-like characters. The cat is refreshing and done extremely well.

I can only nitpick. I got stuck on a ledge and that ended my session on my first day playing. Sometimes the lighting can look weird in certain spots if you pay real close attention. (I think its an Unreal Engine thing) The cloths sometimes clip through the robots, the boat had no wake or effect on the water when moving, etc. Really small things.

It's very linear and has low replayability. I was surprised on how fast you could tear through it when I went for the speedrun achievement.

And yet, there is just something fantastic about its simplicity. No competition or stress from other players. There are no microtransactions, DLC, perks, or weird mechanics shoehorned in. It's not a game designed to make money. It's a piece of art that is simply meant to be enjoyed.

If I had any suggestions, they would be to add a conclusion chapter. I really wanted to reunite with my kitty friends from the beginning. What happened to them? What does the world really look like outside of Walled City 99? Also, while there were several places to drink water in the game, I felt like the cat would have needed to eat as well at some point.

I broke my own rulebook and preordered this game. I don't regret it. I would have paid more if they asked for it. This type of game has been a dying breed ever since video gaming became mainstream and deserves support. Recommended.
