As you may be able to tell from my play time on this seemingly shallow and simple game I adore it with all my heart. Did you too grow up with classics such as Pharaoh, Zeus, and Poseidon? Is your passion for classic city and town building laying deep within you somewhere over shadowed by the glitz and glam of modern shooters and RPG's? Well have I got a solution for you! Banished is the best currently released game on the market that brings the age old feeling of retro city builders and micro management sims to the modern day, with an interesting twist... Survival is never handed to you on a silver spoon, even with the best equations for success something may happen that will totally destroy your otherwise "perfect" plan. You are the designer of a settlement of people who have been thrown into a new, unknown realm where you must provide them with the best infrastructure for survival, will you eventually tire of the base game? Yes! Are there hundreds upon hundreds of mods to spend thousands of hours learning and mastering? Of course! Let that OCD take you on a journey like no other, but don't blame me when a long winter ruins your crops and leads to the death of hundreds of your beloved town folk. Download the mod that allows for pagan religion, the christian god wont help you here.
