Early Access Review
What a surprise! Never seen anything about this game which seems to be in development since 2015 by one dev. While going through my steam discovery queue I found this and tried the demo. Instantly made me buy the game!

To me it has kind of the same sensation that Kerbal Space Program has with the realistic aerodynamics and physics simulations. It's a game, more so a futuristic game with VTOL spacecrafts, so it's obviously not 1:1 with the real thing, which I won't be able to tell you anyway.

Like in KSP you'll be launching from planet into space, going into orbit, docking with an orbital station and trying to enter the atmosphere again without exploding. Then you'll also be able to do some missions like cargo deliveries. There are some tutorial missions to teach you the controls but you'll mostly have to know how to move in space and how re-entering a planets atmosphere works.

The UI is very good as it has a lot of information while remaining easy to read. Same about the cockpit view which in my opinion would be perfect for a VTOL VR-like VR implementation or maybe a bit simpler like Space Dockers, which allows the use of a HOTAS due to it not having ingame buttons that need to be pressed like in VTOL VR.

The price is a bit steep for the current content but it's also a very niche game and due to it being so well made I'd say it's worth it!
Can't wait to see what this solo developer will achieve with this game!

Sidenotes:
-The game supports HOTAS but as I don't own one I played the game with a controller. The controls are well thought out and I had no issues doing anything ingame. KBM does seem to work too.
-Performance is really good and the graphics are well made but very simple. Could benefit from higher res textures and better shadows.
-There are no graphics options afaik but I had no issues running the game at 2560x1440.
-The UI seems to scale automatically or it's just big enough that it fits my resolution quite well.
One part of the UI in 3rd person view didn't scale/was a bit too small to read which made me use cockpit view more often as everything was readable on the cockpit displays.
-Mod/Workshop support would benefit the game surely but maybe the game needs some more attention to attract a playerbase first.
-The "cutscenes" should be completely ingame as they currently seem to be 1080p videos which don't look so well at higher resolutions like 1440p.
-I'd suggest adjusting the voice over a bit. It isn't bad but it could benefit from some cleaning up.
-The audio overall sounds very good but I'd like to see some additional audio sliders like master audio, engine audio, systems audio etc.

This game is a job, especially during events. You'll have to put in thousands of hours to unlock everything even if you play with a premium account and a premium vehicle. Then there are vehicles on a community driven marketplace and most of those vehicles are extremely overpriced and are not obtainable in any other way (Winning rare tournaments).

The community is toxic, a single premium vehicle costs between 30€ and 70€, the battle pass has extremely slow progression and offers vehicles that are only unlockable if you purchase the premium battle pass or afterwards on the marketplace.

However, I've been playing for about 8 years now and even though the developers decisions often are questionable I just can't stop playing because it's an amazing game. You need the right mindset to have fun.

Vermintide for me is one of my all-time favorites. The whole game, graphics and world design is very solid and lovingly put together.

Of course there are a quadrillion bugs in this game (which you won't notice at first) and the balancing isn't always right but all in all it's tons of fun especially with friends. Highly recommended!
