Having poured in hundreds of hours into all of the borderlands games (on console and pc) I absolutely love the additions made to the game with the character customization, classes, spells, weapons, and more. It makes for some incredibly fun and refreshed game play. The story is funny and captivating with the world and graphics looking renewed and lively without requiring top of the line specs. It also gives incentive to actually explore off the main path in search of areas for loot dice and lore scrolls that are sort of like echo logs but actually interesting.
The best part by far is the addition of spells, changeable melee weapons, and guns which are completely different from the other borderlands games. The elemental type effects that your weapons sometimes have can have amazing synergies with spells and abilities if you pair them right against your foes which allows you to shred through enemies and have a blast.
If you're a fan of borderlands I would definitely recommend you to pick this game up and play it. Even if you aren't a fan of borderlands I would still at least give it a try if you're looking for a new game to play.
