Phillip was a young man who loved to explore the world. He had a knack for finding trouble wherever he went, always curious, restless, and reckless. Never would he listen to anyone’s advice or warnings. Thought he knew better than everyone else.

One day, Phillip decided to travel to the Amazon rainforest, because of the exotic animals, plants, and tribes that lived there. Excitingly, Phillip packed his backpack with some essentials and boarded a plane to Brazil. He did not bother to do any research or hire a guide because of him believing that he could handle anything by himself.

The first Saturday in June Phillip arrived in Manaus, the capital of the Amazonas state. He rented a car and drove to the edge of the forest. When he arrived Pillip parked his car and entered the jungle. Without a map, a compass, or a GPS he knew that this would be an impossible task. But he is Phillip, he can do anything. So into the jungle he went with just his instincts to follow.

After an hour or two our great explorer realized that the forest was not as friendly as imagined. On the great quest for adventure he had encountered poisonous snakes, spiders, and was bitten by mosquitoes and leeches.

After 2 more hours it was impossible to know if he still was aware of the situation because of the hunger and thirst. Six hours had passed with now fruits or clean water. Why he didn't bring these commodities to an adventure in the amazonas no one knows. When it got dark he tried to make a fire and build shelter but with zero skill and only his arrogance this seemed impossible.

When he finally gave up and decided to just sleep on the mud he could not fall asleep because of the strange feeling that someone was watching. During the building he heard strange noises and saw mysterious shadows. There was a sense of danger lurking in every corner of the dark.

He gave up on his adventures and tried to find his way back to his car, but he was hopelessly lost. When the panic struck he just started running aimlessly. After 15 minutes of “running”(Penguin running) He stumbled and fell into a pit trap. He screamed for help at the top of his small capacity lungs, but no one heard him.

When the panic settled he looked around for a way to escape, but that's when he realized that this pit was far too precise to have been made by nature itself. Sweat started dripping down his forehead. He heard footsteps approaching from above, Phillip went quiet trying to hug the corners of the pit. But suddenly some weird faces looked down at him. When his eyes finally adjusted he saw a dozen hungry eyes.

They were the Yanomami tribe, one of the most isolated and violent tribes in the Amazon. For two weeks they had been hunting for food when they heard Phillip’s scream. Finally the gods had smiled down on them and brought fresh prey into their trap.

They lowered a rope into the pit and tied it around Phillip’s feet. Pulled him out of the pit and dragged him to their village, here they tied him to a stake and prepared a fire. The Yanomami tribe danced around our Phillip while sharpening their knives and chanting their songs.

Phillip begged for mercy, but they did not understand him. Insted laughed at his fear and mocked his cries. Limb by limb was slowly roasted and cut off to feed the tribe. His skin was eaten raw, When all was finished except for his skull. Then it was cracked open and his tiny brain was like a dessert for the children of the tribe.

They enjoyed their feast and celebrated their victory, thanked their gods for their gift and threw Phillip’s bones into the river.

That was the end of Phillip’s adventures.

The moral of the story is: Don’t be arrogant like Phillip.
Part 2 (Dont read this either)
Phillip’s sister Lily was nothing like him. He was adventurous, reckless, and curious. He ignored any advice or warnings. He thought he knew everything better than anyone else.

She loved him dearly, even though he often frustrated her with his actions. She was always anxious about him, especially when he went on his trips. She tried to persuade him to stay home or at least be more careful. But he never listened to her.

She always waited for his news, hoping that he was well and happy. She always prayed for his safe return, hoping that he would someday grow up and be more sensible.

One day, she got a call from the Brazilian police. They said they had found Phillip’s car deserted near the Amazon forest. They said they had searched the area, but they had not found any sign of him. They said they feared the worst.

They said they were sorry for her loss.

Lily felt a jolt in her chest. She refused to believe what she had heard. She denied that her brother was gone. She couldn’t live without him.

She sobbed and shrieked and fell to the ground.

She decided to go to Brazil and look for him herself. She hoped that maybe he was still alive, somewhere in the forest. She hoped that maybe she could find him and bring him back.

She packed her backpack with some essentials and flew to Brazil. She did some research and hired a guide. She thought she could manage anything with some help.

She landed in Manaus, the capital of the Amazonas state. She met her guide and drove to the edge of the forest. She left her car and entered the jungle. She had a map, a compass, and a GPS. She followed her guide and searched around.

She soon discovered that the forest was not as welcoming as she had expected. She met poisonous snakes, spiders, and frogs. She was bitten by mosquitoes and leeches. She was scratched by thorns and branches. She was hungry, thirsty, and exhausted. She couldn’t find any food or water. She couldn’t make a fire or build a shelter.

She also discovered that she was not alone in the forest. She heard weird noises and saw eerie shadows. She felt eyes staring at her from behind the trees. She sensed danger hiding in every corner. She didn’t know if they were animals or humans.

She tried to find any evidence of her brother, but she found nothing. She had no clue where he was or what had happened to him. She panicked and ran aimlessly. She tripped and fell into a river.

She called for help, but no one answered her.

She looked around and saw that she was surrounded by crocodiles, piranhas, and anacondas. She realized that she had fallen into a predator’s trap. She felt a cold sweat on her forehead. She heard splashes coming from below. She saw a bunch of teeth, scales, and coils. They looked at her with hungry eyes.

They were the Amazon’s deadliest creatures, one of the most feared and ferocious animals in the world. They had been hunting for food when they heard Lily’s cry. They were thrilled to find a fresh prey in their trap. They decided to make her their dinner.

They bit into her flesh and ripped it apart. They gulped down her bones and blood. They fought over her remains and devoured them all.

They enjoyed their feast and celebrated their victory. They thanked their gods for their gift.

That was the end of Lily’s search.

The moral of the story is: Don’t be naive like Lily.

She loved her brother very much, even though he often annoyed her with his antics. She worried about him constantly, especially when he went on his trips. She tried to convince him to stay home or at least be more prepared. But he never listened to her.

She always waited for his calls or messages, hoping that he was safe and happy. She always prayed for his return, hoping that he would someday settle down and be more responsible.

One day, she received a call from the Brazilian police. They told her that they had found Phillip’s car abandoned near the Amazon forest. They told her that they had searched the area, but they had not found any trace of him. They told her that they feared the worst.

They told her that they were sorry for her loss.

Lily felt a shock in her heart. She could not believe what she had heard. She could not accept that her brother was gone. She could not imagine a world without him.

She cried and screamed and collapsed on the floor.

She decided to go to Brazil and look for him herself. She thought that maybe he was still alive, somewhere in the forest. She thought that maybe she could find him and bring him back.
