I've played this game for 53 hours in a single week.
I have spent more time that week playing this game than working.

Josh from Let's Game It Out convinced me to buy this game. For ten bucks, I've had a great deal of fun with it.

Pros: The game has a LOT of promise. Water-powered machinery is a novel idea, IMO. The art style is also pretty distinct, and everything has a sort of rough and rustic feel to it that I am fond of. If the devs keep at it like they said they have, then I could see this game becoming something akin to a steampunk version of Satisfactory.

Cons: To start off with, the lack of content at the moment. There's no NPCs, and the world feels very lonely as a result. You can get to the current endgame fairly quickly, and I managed to get there in about a week of playing off and on. The game also has weird performance issues that appear over time, with framerate DROPS that vanish when I exit out to the menu and reload. I have an Intel i9 and an RTX 2080, so I can say with confidence that its not my hardware. My guess is that it pertains to some memory leak happening in the background that remains unpatched.

With all that said, and if you have a spare ten bucks, Hydroneer is a fun little automation toy for a weekend or three, if that's your jam.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game. Not perfect, not fantastic, just great.

That's a shame, but it doesn't stop me from recommending it.

The game's a bit clunky and outdated for 2020, but I got some fun out of it.

This is one of those games where you wish it was longer. Much longer. Or at the very least, a proper sequel.
