Game is short, but for the price it's a good experience. Had a good scare from it

Bad port of the game. I have a really good computer that can run saints row 4 just fine, but this game has seemingly random lag spikes that drop the FPS to 2-3 for extended periods of time. It's clear the developers never bothered to play their port before releasing it otherwise they just don't care about their customers at all. There's a mod called Gentlemen of the Row that reduces the frequency of these lag spikes (they still happen, but even if the mod fixed it the developers should be ashamed for relying on the modding community to make their game semi-playable), but installing the mod highly increases game crashes. About about 10-20% of the time you finish a mission it will crash your game. Trying to change your outfit? That will crash your game about half the time. Even completing objectives seem to cause crashes. This game should never have been released on PC until they fixed this, but unfortunately they just don't care enough to not release broken games.

Captivating Point and Click Adventure

I enjoyed playing through this game twice, I'd say that if you're interested, you should pick it up.

It's a story-based game inspired by the book of the same name by Harlan Ellison (who voices the character of AM in game).

Good, but this game was developed in the '90s, so you can imagine that the graphics will reflect that era. The graphics are not bad at all. I'd say that they still hold up somewhat and the graphics don't take away from the game.

It's a point-and-click adventure game, so if you've played one before, you know what you're in for more or less. There's an included aspect of what can be considered almost a 'sanity meter' that you're incentivized to keep good. There is a hint book in the game, but keep in mind that it will drain your sanity each time you use it. There are some puzzles that I had to use hints on, and others that I just plain had to google a guide for, but I've understood that it's partially intentional. To each their own, but it's going to be a lot of trial and error if you want to get the best ending without hints or a guide.

Despite its age, the game sports full voice acting with crisp audio clarity. The background music also adds to the emotion and/or tension of some of the scenes in the game, but overall the audio is just impressive for a game originally developed in the '90s.

This game deals with very mature concepts, and very touchy subjects. While there are a lot of teens mature enough for this content, I've only marked adults because that's the direct audience for material such as this: Spoiler/Trigger Warning: One of the character's traumatic experiences with r*pe is explored in a storyline within the game and the content of Nimdok's level include his history as a Nazi, and Holocaust imagery including gas ovens that have a smell of burning flesh in the room (I'll let you guess who the 'lost tribe' that's becoming victims to the regime is). The game also includes graphic violence and gory imagery with almost every scene having excessive blood.

This game was originally for DOS computers and without Steam you'd have to boot up DOSBOX in order to play this game. With a requirement of 128MB of RAM in the recommended specs, you should be fine to run this game if your PC can run Steam. If you're computer can't run it (which I doubt), pick up a raspberry pi for $35 which has more than enough RAM even before the upgrade from 256MB to 512MB.

Like I said before, there are parts of the game that I had to use a guide for. Not everything is intuitive, and to figure it all out and get the best ending without using guides or hints would be difficult.

Just a story based game. Point and click. What would you even grind for?

☐ It‘ll replace your life

This is subjective, but I'm personally interested in the story provided. So much so that I might even get the original book or listen to an audio book of it. If the book is better than the game then I'm in for a treat because the game was good.

---{Game Time}---

It takes just about the amount of time that I expected it to take to beat. It's nothing special, and the replayability isn't terribly good once you finish. Maybe to get the good ending it's worth another trip, but mostly you'll be doing the exact same things you did before and it will feel like a chore to keep repeating it. I've played it twice because I didn't get the good ending the first time, but I don't see myself going back to it after knowing the good ending.

C'mon. It's $6. A number 3 large from Sonic costs more, and that's only good until you feel the sandwich like a rock in your stomach. This game is good for the handful of hours you'll spend on each playthrough.

---{Bugs}---
☑ Never heard of
☐ Minor bugs
☐ Can get annoying
☐ ARK: Survival Evolved
☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs

I've not experienced some bugs. There may be points where you feel that there's nothing to do and the game glitched and got stuck, there's probably just something you missed earlier in the game.

Score: 8.4/10

Better than average, but I wouldn't say it's one of the best.

Fun Game

I have really enjoyed this game for every minute that I've had it. It's a really fun game. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the concept.

---{Graphics}---
☐ You forget what reality is
☐ Beautiful
☑ Good
☐ Decent
☐ Bad
☐ Don‘t look too long at it
☐ Paint.exe

Don't get me wrong. This game has age, and it shows. The graphics were beautiful for the time, but now they are just good. The graphics aren't what drew me to this game, and I hope they aren't what turns you away from it.

---{Gameplay}---
☐ Very good
☑ Good
☐ It‘s just gameplay
☐ Mehh
☐ Starring at walls is better
☐ Just don‘t

This is one of those games that you'll see in your library and either skip over it or play it depending on your mood. It doesn't have gameplay that you could play for hours and not get burnt out on (unless you're a really big fan of it. The gameplay gets repetitive after a few hours, but it's good gameplay. In my personal opinion the loud gameplay is more fun because of how the stealth aspects of the game works. I feel like a bit more detail has been given to loud players than stealth players so if you're getting this game for the stealth you may want to keep that in mind.

---{Audio}---
☐ Eargasm
☑ Very good

This game features a soundtrack from Simon Viklund, and it's great. There are some tracks that are better than others, but the way that the soundtrack is dynamically integrated to play the intense parts of the song when there is a police assault and the calm parts of the song when the assault is over/hasn't happened yet.

---{Audience}---
☐ Kids
☑ Teens
☑ Adults
☐ Human

This game deals with mature concepts, and is pretty violent. I would not recommend that children play this without the knowledge that they are mature enough for the concepts. There are hostages that you take, a lot of narcotics such as cocaine and meth, and violence between gangs and against police

---{PC Requirements}---
☐ Check if you can run paint
☐ Potato
☑ Decent
☐ Fast
☐ Rich boiiiiii
☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer

This game probably can't run on a potato, but if you have a decent computer with a decent graphics card and processor, then you can likely run this game. It would probably be better if you had a fast computer just because at times with the default settings it can be cpu intensive.

Getting into Payday 2 is easy and simple. It's just a first person shooter based on bank robbing, but most of the general community forays into the harder difficulties which require knowledge of concepts such as dodge in order to fully utilize the arsenal given to you. There are metas in the hardest difficulties and not every weapon/equipment is viable once you reach a certain difficulty. It's worth watching some build videos on YouTube. Some Payday 2 YouTubers that I enjoy are Connor Shaw, b33croft, and e3khatena.

---{Grind}---
☐ Nothing to grind
☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks
☐ Isnt necessary to progress
☑ Average grind level
☐ Too much grind
☐ You‘ll need a second live for grinding

There are going to be weapons in the meta that you have to grind levels for to unlock, and there are many weapon modifications that you will have to grind continental coins if you want to fully modify your weapon to your liking. There is also the perk decks that you will have to grind experience in order to fully upgrade. I'd say that this is a grind heavy game, and if that's not your style, then this game may not be for you. I, however, like to grind. It's not as much grinding as say Warframe or anything like that, but it's definitely not going to be fast to unlock the build you want entirely.

---{Story}---
☐ Story?
☐ Text or Audio floating around

☐ It‘ll replace your life

I'd say that before the Locke and Load event and the later release of the Brooklyn Bank and Reservoir Dogs heists the story was just average, but it has been recently revamped and there is an interesting plot to follow now. Perhaps I'm looking at the story with the rose-tinted glasses of fandom, but I enjoy the direction the story is taking and I'm interested to see where it goes next.

---{Game Time}---
☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee
☐ Short

☐ To infinity and beyond

The heists are usually a good length (some of the three day heists can get a bit long), but the game itself will keep you interested for an average amount of time before the gameplay burns you out for the day. You will definitely come back the next day or a few days later because the Payday burnout wears of fast in my experience.

---{Price}---
☐ It’s free!
☑ Worth the price
☐ If u have some spare money left

Okay. It's worth the price, but I have a gripe about the price. You can now only buy the ultimate edition that comes with all the DLC (save for the Hotline Miami Jacket character pack and the Ethan and Hila H3H3 character pack). This means that in order to play the game you have to pay for DLC that you don't know yet that you want. Also, because of how they have this system set up on Steam, in order to gift the game you have to log on to your friend's accound and buy it because the Steam gifting service doesn't work with bundles (which the whole game is now considered).

I have experienced some minor bugs in this game, but nothing gamebreaking.

Buy the game for h*ck's sake

No, seriously, do it. This game is literally whatever you want it to be, and it's really fun and worth the price.

If you own steam and don't own this game. Save up the money and buy it.

---{Graphics}---

Graphics are good, but the graphics are definitely showing a bit of age. Half Life 2 graphics. So, good, but not great.

---{Gameplay}---
☑ Very good
☐ Good
☐ It‘s just gameplay
☐ Mehh
☐ Starring at walls is better

The gameplay is whatever you want it to be, but I personally really like the gamemodes prop hunt and darkrp. They are the ones that I play the most and they're really fun. There's a lot of games that were popular in Counter Strike: Source, like jailbreak and surf. Lots of good gamemodes, and if you just want to mess around and test some awesome workshop weapons on some antlions or on some WWII German Soldiers that you picked up from the workshop, that's fine too.

---{Audio}---
☐ Eargasm

Most sounds are ripped from Half Life 2. Middle of the ground audio. Audio from mods is dependent on the mod creator.

---{Audience}---
☐ Kids

☑ Human

Really great game for all ages (and it already appeals to all ages). The violence in this game can get bad with mods, but in the vanilla game it's pretty basic.

---{PC Requirements}---
☐ Check if you can run paint
☐ Potato
☑ Decent

If you want to play this game you don't need much, but a lot of servers can get intensive on your system based on the mods they have on. I would recommend a minimum of 4GB RAM, a dual core processor, and a basic graphics card so an APU for desktops might not be enough (if you're on a laptop, and it has 4GB RAM the onboard graphics should be good enough). The minimum requirements that Steam lists should be plenty for singleplayer games, but I can't guarantee most servers would keep that minimum requirements the same

---{Difficulity}---
☐ Just press ‚A‘
☑ Easy
☐ Significant brain usage
☐ Easy to learn / Hard to master
☐ Difficult
☐ Dark Souls

The game is easy. You make it as hard as you want it. Want to try to fight a horde of headcrab zombies with only a crowbar? Might be difficult, but if you're doing that, you probably want the challenge. Some gamemodes can be hard if you're playing with experienced people. Prophunt can be hard if you're playing against good people, but it's a game that's easy to get good at. DarkRP doesn't really have a set difficulty since you're playing based on what job you choose. Jailbreak gets more difficult as a guard the more disobedient prisoners you have, but as a prisoner you can make it easy by following commands, or difficult by being disobedient. Very fun.

---{Grind}---
☑ Nothing to grind
☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks
☐ Isnt necessary to progress
☐ Average grind level
☐ Too much grind
☐ You‘ll need a second live for grinding

You can make an argument that darkrp has a lot of grinding, but darkrp is only an aspect of GMod. It's also server dependent, but there's practically nothing to grind for (especially in sandbox where everything is already at your fingertips).

---{Story}---
☑ Story?
☐ Text or Audio floating around
☐ Average
☐ Good
☐ Lovley
☐ It‘ll replace your life

No story whatsoever, but this is solely a gameplay based game. Some RP servers may have a story that you unravel/create with the other people on the server, but those are RP stories, and not part of GMod inherently.

---{Game Time}---
☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee
☐ Short
☐ Average
☐ Long
☑ To infinity and beyond

Sure. You may get bored of prophunt. Just switch gamemodes. You will lose track of time playing this game. You can spend a thousand hours playing it and still feel like theres more to experience.

---{Price}---
☐ It’s free!
☑ Worth the price
☐ If u have some spare money left
☐ Not recommended
☐ You could also just burn your money

It's $10 with a catch. A good amount of servers have textures that require you to own and have installed Counter Strike: Source. It's also $10. I'd say this game is easily worth the $20 or the $10 if you don't mind the purple and black checkers that you'll come to know if you don't buy CS:S, but I would personally say it's worth more than $20 so getting CS:S should be something you do if you have the cash.

---{Bugs}---
☐ Never heard of
☑ Minor bugs
☐ Can get annoying
☐ ARK: Survival Evolved
☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs

Some workshop items are poorly coded and will result in some Lua Script errors. This is not a problem because most of the time it doesn't affect your game and only results in a yellow attention alert in the corner of your screen informing you of the errors.

Score: 10/10

Seriously a great game.

The servers are dead, so if you want to do matchmaking, good luck.
