fun game, better than overwatch, but the devs are weird and are playing a game of cat and mouse with mods. Just let the harmless cosmetic mods exist, it motivated me to buy a skin... can't recommend people play this with aggro devs like this

One of the few masterpieces of all gaming history. Beautiful music, immersive world, fun games, some emotional dialogue, and unbound freedom. A solid 10/10.

Incredibly fun. Even really fun solo, but never-ending smiles when playing with a friend or a few.

My only complaint is all the monkeys on Playstation hogging up the server space so it's impossible to load in a reasonable amount of time, there's a queue, and a large amount of glitches because of the server inflation. Still an 8.5/10.

There's a lack of weaponry, lack of customization, and the battlepass system is really out of place for a game like this, but it's done well and is impossible to pay to win or even pay to progress, so it's just another form of progression at the end of the day.

I only wish the devs spent more money on servers, because this game has a good amount of potential.

March 6th Edit: They nerfed the only usable equipment for end-game and solo players. I no longer fw these devs. Hope they lose their playerbase.

Very fun, eager to play more. Some things take some getting used to and figuring out, but I have had a blast so far and look forward to playing more. Also very excited for the coming modding scene, this game has LOTS of potential.
One complaint, I wish there was a way to tell my Pals to slack off. They overwork themselves and despite having hotsprings and plenty of beds, some of them just work until 0 sanity and get debuffs. It happens most to those working at the logging camp and mining camp. They just refuse to stop working :/

One of the greatest games of all time in my opinion.
Beautiful, captivating story and characters. Any time a new story "quest" begins I feel so compelled to do it as soon as I can and 100% cause I want to see desperately how it unfolds :)
The music is SOOOOOOOooo good like Wow! Pump me up, make me relax, make me nostalgic, make me happy, the soundtrack is incredible.

Edit 2024: Took me 160 Steam hours, or 100 hours of playtime (says so in my save diary) just to reach January 1st. And I still have until April to finish the content they added in Royal, so I suspect this is roughly a 120-50hr game. (or 200-220 by steam's standards for some reason?)

I've since upgraded this game to the top of my list. It's now my favorite game of all time, without a doubt.

The best Fallout by far.

Gaijin does not care about the playerbase or its wants. You would think after over a decade of player feedback they would take a hint and start to listen to the people who actually play the game. Because you know damn well the devs do not play this game nearly enough to properly balance or rate it. They have decided to go the route of punishing players for playing the game. Exorbitant repair costs and purchase costs, such that if you don't do well you are almost certainly going to be losing your currency.

I thought they learned their lesson, as years ago they buffed bombers, which used to be ABSURDLY expensive to repair (50k+~) whereas most other planes were under 10k. That's a huge nerf to bombers, as being slow whales with no fighter escorts means they are often shot down before they can even drop their bombs.

God knows what this update has brought to ground forces. I hope they learn their lesson. I advise they remove repair costs entirely, and just raise vehicle purchase cost. So instead of paying 300k for a plane and 30k to repair it, it's 500k and free to repair. That would be balanced, and fun! It would reward learning the vehicles instead of spamming the same exploitative and unfun methods to make money now.

Solid 8.5/10 game, 9/10 gameplay 8/10 story. Once the rest of the content comes out in 2 weeks (nov 16, [hardcore, dmz, other modes and maps]) I expect reviews to equal out.
