Early Access Review
It's like meeting a new friend, someone who reminds you a lot of an old one you shared a lot of great memories with when you were younger. You know this will be the start of a great friendship, but deep down can't help but wish your old friend had put in the effort to grow and mature alongside you.

You miss them, but you know it's time to move on.

Joey Drew Studios in game are just like the one IRL: nobody seems to be working there, nor be caring about fixing what's broken.

The game has many little bugs which are acceptable, but there is one in particular that will corrupt your savefile (almost) beyond repair by making your game crash upon loading your save. Many players (myself included) have got no response after mailing support about it and JDS don't seem to be fixing this game any time soon.

I spent at least 6 hours tinkering with the savefiles to figure out why it kept crashing and managed to eventually find the root cause and fix it (funnily enough, the most satisfying moment while playing the game). I made a quick guide about it so no one has to waste time on something JDS never bothered looking into.

The game itself is otherwise very well drawn and rather fun, with a gameplay at times very similar to Dishonored; the combat, on the contrary, is incredibly lackluster and repetitive. Moreover, for any fellow achievement hunters, this game can be a bit of a nightmare since achievements never pop up in game and are often not tracked properly (some don't even have the correct completion requirement).

New DLC price is ridiculous considering that you can currently buy the Witcher 3 for the same amount of money

The puzzles in Gorogoa, although very well though-out, are very easy to figure out, making the game way too short for its price tag (even at 70% discount). Getting 100% achievements takes less than 2 hours so you can easily refund this game after completing it.
Otherwise the game is very artistic and a rather peaceful experience, perfect to play in between all of your action RPG games.
