I was super excited to play the full game after I spent hours on the demos... and I never expected such a love story. I didn't see the twist, and seeing it all unfold was a treat. What I truly enjoy is the artistic style of the game, clearly defined artwork and excellently voiced character, having one voice actor argue with himself for hours is a treat!

All the different aspects of the princess are so different, and the changes she undergoes makes sense according to your actions in game and often made me regret and feel so sorry for her. I still have achievements left to hunt, but I can't recommend this game enough for both horror fans and visual novel enthusiasts.

Edit: All the achievements was a fun hunt, and I had even missed one route that ended up being one of my favourites in the game. It's a game I will return to in the future.

I want more games like this.

First of all the aesthetics of the game are on point, the graphics are interesting (albeit it's a little hard to see certain details at times, I must admit), the music couldn't fit more in and the story is interesting as you learn what's going on.

The mechanics are explained well as you play, the gameplay is solid and mostly something I've never seen before in a game. In order to solve the murders onboard you have a pocketwatch that reminds me of the gameplay in Ghost Trick, a DS puzzle game, but it works well in this setting even though it's never explained why you have it. It doesn't matter, the game is fun.

Some puzzles are hard and you have to look for clues in many other places than where people die in order to figure out their identities. Once you figure out more and more identities on board the pieces slowly come together, and then you can learn more and more. For me it was some trial and error, but I enjoyed it and had fun nonetheless. Good luck!

As a fan of the first game I was looking forward to this one with baited breath. And it delivered.

The visuals are amazing, the gameplay is fun and what I wanted, with some new additions from the first game like combat and an AI partner that you need to use in certain places.
The aesthetic of this game is top notch, the mood is tense at times and the chasers are unnerving.

My main criticism of the game is the control scheme, which could be tighter in certain places, especially the grabbing mechanic as it doesn't always get the context right (when grabbing circuit breakers, for instance). The puzzles are good and engaging, the stealth is a lot of fun and getting all the achievements for this game is actually not that hard.

I'm looking forward to the DLC for this one to learn more about this universe!

If you like the Life is Strange series, then play this. It's not too long but it's free, so what are you waiting for? It's got some wholesome and sad stuff, so if you're into narrative games then this is a good one.

Early Access Review
This game just keeps on getting better and better, and it's making me really love rogue like games.

It's got a distinct art style that I love, and the gameplay is very fun and engaging. A bit hard when you're not used to the genre, but you learn quickly. The music is catchy, and with the latest patch they even added several music themes for each stage (very handy if you're like me and tend to die again and again before you get good at this game).

The controls are responsive and I like them better than Binding of Isaac, you can shoot a full 360 around you.

Variation is a keyword, as the many cats you can use are vastly different, giving you the option to try different playstyles, especially if you get different powerups. Personally I'm very fond of what I call the Team of Love, Nelly the kissy Cat and Morticia BEST GIRL (the one dog in the game, but she's the best girl so of course she's allowed in).

Enemies come in all shapes and sizes, with some variations between the levels, and many different attack patterns which makes it fun to learn them all.

Bosses vary in the patches, as they seem to struggle a bit in getting them just right, but it's getting better and better!

All in all this is a really fun game and I'm looking forward to the full version, hopefully the team will continue working on this for a good while to add more stages, enemies and such for us to battle!

I got wind of this game some weeks back when I was looking for things similar to Little Nightmares, and I played it the same day it was released.
The style caught my interest as soon as I started playing, but the puzzles were what made me continue playing until I finished it in one sitting. Wallwalking was something you had to do throughout the entire game, but some stages had different mechanics with levers that made you twist the environment in different ways, especially stage 3 was unique in that regard. At the start of the game it didn't feel very much like a horror game due to the lack of enemies. The last stages had real danger lurking around every corner, but having more danger and scares would have made this game even better.
As it is it's still a great game if you enjoy puzzles, and the train stage has one of the best scary puzzles I've ever encountered in a game.
It's worth the price despite the cons, because what it does right it makes it shine.

Pros:
- distinct artstyle
- game mechanics that focus on walking on walls and twisting the environment with levers
- unique enemies with a distinct look
- puzzles are good
- the best timed puzzle from an artistic standpoint in chapter 5

Cons:
- no real danger in the first chapters
- 2 hours long, would have been nicer with a few more stages
- no menu screen, it just puts you right into the game, this is just a minor thing

After playing the first game I decided to give this a try, and I must say that this one is far better. Add in the fact that the combat system is more interesting with better use of team mates and abilities, there's now a daily life mode where you can interact, talk and get to know the characters from the show.

You create your own character that's a cadet in the 104th, and experience the story from the side. Sure, you get to shine, but not take the spotlight away from the main characters. The missions are more interesting than in the first game.

Pros:
- improved combat system
- more game modes
- more characters to play as and level
- replayability

Cons:
- still some flaws to the AI system
- lots and lots of grinding

Absolute win:
- titans with ragdoll physics and joints, wooot

I'm just going to say I'm a big fan of the manga and anime, and well... I feel this game does the original source material justice.

This is an action game that follows the story faithfully with various missions, all with different objectives. The main story of the game ends where the first season of the anime does.

Pros:
- main story mode is straight to the point, if you have read the manga or seen the anime you know what's going to happen.
- side missions that make it easier to complete the stages, with certain objectives
- optional missions that don't have much story, but more difficult titans to kill
- replayability as you want to get S rank on all stages
- many different weapons and equipment that you can upgrade
- good and responsive controls

Cons:
- It's a bit tricky to figure out the controls at first, but once you get the hang of it you'll flip back and forth, find the playstyle for the different characters and it's so satisfying.
- very grindy, so if you don't like that then steer away
- many side missions are repetitive

I saw the trailer and was interested in the artstyle of this game first and foremost, but after playing through this game twice the first evening I can say I really enjoy this game. It's not flawless, but it holds a lot of potential especially if you're like me and enjoy story driven game with puzzle combat.
There are optional side quests that offer more dialogue and story, so make sure you check them out as well.

Overall this is a very niche game and won't be for everybody. There is a lot of reading so if you enjoy faster paced games this might not be for you. But for those of us who enjoy characters, story and puzzles this is a must grab. In my opinion it stays true to the story and the spirit of the game, but I would like to see more of the world of Emrys and what makes it differ from the human world. So much potential that would be nice to be allowed to shine more, but perhaps that's something we'll see more of.

I personally can't wait to see what more this developer will make in the future!

Pros:
- Gorgeous art style
- interesting story and characters
- Good combat system with realtime puzzles and planning

Cons:
- Relatively short game
- No skip function to bypass dialogue you've seen before
- A large world with a lot of promise that we don't get to explore properly
- Lack of game modes, but the developers have stated on Twitter that they are adding a versus mode

I didn't hear much about this game beforehand, but I love mysteries and time puzzle adventure games like Ghost Trick etc, so I thought I'd give this game a try.

I can't praise this game enough. The art is gorgeous, the music made me dance in my chair, the puzzles are fun and creative, the setting is just so bright and cheerful to contrast with the grim tales of death and murder that goes on in the mansion. I honestly can't come up with a single negative thing to say about this game, which is not often it happens to me.

Do yourself a favour, buy this game and play it, and spread the word. It deserves so much attention and love.
