This is a good software, I'd recommend it for small indie dev developers. A great software with alot of opportunities for you to make your own 2d game. I have been using this program alot but not the steam version. I bought a 1 year license at the start and upgraded to the steam version!

-- Is it worth the money --
Yes definitely worth the money! If you are planning to build some games in 2d I would recommend this program. It is easy to use and a pretty damn good UI interface for you to start with. You can even start making games without even coding a single row.

-- My overall rating? --
Well it is a 10 out of 10! One of the best programs I've ever used to make 2d games.
