This game is not your typical RPG. It doesn't involve rolling dice or button-mashing battles. Instead, it's a casual game where you click on text, items, and possible battle outcomes. The story follows a brother and sister escaping a tough situation, only to find themselves in another strange situation. To progress through the story, you click through multiple zones and complete quests.

The story, while not particularly remarkable, fits the bill for a short, casual game with a "good versus bad" theme. At times, the plot may feel rushed, but you'll mainly do fetch quests and read simple one-liners. Occasionally, there are areas with lengthy text, but these are infrequent.

You have a currency system that requires you to make decisions about what to buy, sell, or keep to aid you on your adventure. It's not too complicated, and you don't need an accounting degree to manage your budget. Throughout your journey, you'll need various items to produce other items for quests or to defeat enemies. Combat involves bringing required ingredients and watching two swords fight each other. There's no blood, violence, or strong language, making it suitable for those seeking a non-violent title.

For those times when competitive or intense games feel overwhelming, this game offers a more laid-back option. It provides a relaxing gaming experience without the weight of worldly problems in the digital sense. If you're looking for a game to unwind with and enjoy some gaming without stress, give it a try and save those children from evildoers!

The game wasn't fun. Maybe I'm tuned to old school games like Red Alert, Age of Empires, Warcraft, and the like. This game felt more like a Zerg rush on all levels without any strategy in mind. "You have 3 ant colonies attacking you constantly - defend!" Where is the strategy when you just place all your ants in the home base and hope for the best? That isn't a strategy, that's zerg mentality. You may as well get the thought process from Tyranids of Warhammer 40k or Zerg from Starcraft and decide to "zerg" the enemy till daylight. No way is this game strategy.

I'd suggest renaming the game from RTS to RTZ, then maybe I could agree with the approach. This game lacks depth. Although I do have a fondness for ants and had ant farms as a child, playing this game was quite miserable for me. Hopefully, the other Ant Empire game that's coming out in November will be better, because this one missed the mark for me.

When I was considering buying this game, many reviews talked about how amazing the story was and how it would have a significant impact on the game's plot later. Initially, I agreed with them. The police chief narrates and discusses his problems with various people in his life, such as family members, co-workers, and electoral staff. Overall, the game started with a compelling storyline.

However, after a while, it became dull. There was less dialogue, and you're just dispatching officers at this point. After a few days, you'll get another cutscene or discussion coming closer to your retirement. The game makes you believe that you have various choices and that they matter. Unfortunately, that's not the case, and some scripted events are unavoidable, forcing you into a linear storyline.

I have mixed feelings about this game since the artwork, music, and voice acting are great. However, the storyline, which started strong, gets diminished by the repetitive dispatching of officers and reading the same events repeatedly. If the days were shorter or if you didn't have 160 days to get to retirement, the game wouldn't have to stretch out such content.

Pummel Party is a multiplayer game with similarities to Mario Party. Like Mario Party, you roll the dice to move across the board, play mini-games, and try to collect the most stars to win. The game can be played with friends, random people online, or AI. There are different mini-games where you shoot each other, knock each other off cliffs, and many other activities.

It's all in good fun, but the biggest difference between Pummel Party and Mario Party is the level of violence. Pummel Party has blood, guts, and carnage, making it more suitable for adults. The graphics are reasonable, and there are plenty of customization options. The game is straightforward and doesn't require a complicated rulebook. It's a party game, and it's best played with friends who are willing to get hammered online for several hours. During hosting or joining games, I never experienced any disconnects or crashes. It's a fun solid title.

If anyone has played AoE2:HD for some time, they'll notice that FE and their overlords decided to charge the FREE mods/campaigns with bland voiceovers while increasing the difficulty on some missions. They claim to make it fun, yet they drag it on longer than the modded versions. It shouldn't take 2-3 hours to finish a map, but they think otherwise. I'm not sure why they went down this road. Maybe FE ran out of ideas? It isn't worth the price for some voice acting and more bugs.

Speaking of the bugs: pathfinding has been absolute trash since this was released. Hopefully, they learn from this lesson and won't do this again. In my opinion, FE is one of the good guys in the gaming business, so who knows why this was thrown together as a DLC purchase. If you're asking for money, do more original content, and no one will object.

Early Access Review
Have you ever played a game where you tried to “catch them all” but couldn’t because it was boring? Has the idea of hurting or enslaving adorable, fuzzy creatures ever come to mind but was prohibited because the big-name company (that we cannot mention or they’ll sue) wants to keep everything PG/E rated? Does the thought of having multiple cute bunny rabbits running around with machine guns and working till their paws fall off as they get depressed only to become tomorrow’s night dinner intrigue you? Then look no further!

Palworld is a survival game that has a lot of its ideas come from games like Ark: Combat Evolved, Dorkimon (as an inspiration – Probably still cannot say their name because they’re “sensitive”), and possible similarities from Rimworld for you depressed and deprived slaves, *cough* workers. Factorio for all your production means working with a top-of-the-line crew that loves to sleep in trees and walk off cliffs. And lastly, guns from the USA. Because if you can’t own them in real life, you and your deranged pals will own them here.

In terms of the state of the game, I’d say it would be early BETA stage given how the AI is on some form of narcotic half the time. By that, I mean the deer boy is in the tree getting lit, while the furball assigned to cool down my freezer is too busy carrying stuff because he believes in promotions or brown-nosing. The buildings are very limited in constructing your extensive palace that will engulf all the pals of the land to submit to your dominance. Another flaw is not being able to change your keybinds, which becomes a headache quickly, especially if you come from games like ARK or other survival games where the “E” key is the pickup button. Another issue is that sometimes your other bases do not function without you or one of your friends having a presence in the vicinity for them to do their work. Similar to real life.

Running around and finding treasure, capturing all sorts of innocent creatures, and exploring the vast amount of dungeons (maybe RNG that?) are all impressive aspects of the game. Advancing through the ranks of technology will start to slow down and become more grind-focused come later stages, but that’s how most of these games tend to work. Another factor is that you can capture bosses and force them to work for you! Did Dorkimon ever do that? No, because that game is for players who use pinecones to wipe their rear end.

In terms of playability, the game runs well for my PC on the UE5 engine, and that is also when everyone decides to raid their base to be welcome with a hail of bullets, magic, and Bowzur (for obvious means). The game looks fantastic and sounds great. I have not crashed once, though I have dipped in the mid-70s FPS. Granted, it is Early Access and will only improve from here.

Pals that are running my machine for me:

OS: Windows 10
CPU: i9-10900k
GPU: GeForce RTX 3070Ti
Ram: 32GB
Storage: Evo 870 4TB (SSD)

Iron Forge is such a trash company. It claims my email is in use. I try to "restore" this account of mine, and all it does is run in a circle jerk with coffee table verifications, passwords, usernames, and emails always being incorrect. Not only that but the constant "You're in a login queue" for literally 2 minutes at a time to see if anything even works. No wonder Heroes of the Storm is better than this dumpster fire, and they stopped production YEARS ago.

There are a few reasons why Diablo 4 is on Steam:

1. Bobby and Co want to grab as much money as possible before being kicked to the curb on January 1st, 2024.
2. The game was lackluster on the Battle.net client, so they figured they'd ask Steam users for their credit cards.
3. To get reviewed and slammed by the Steam community.
4. To pay for their attorney fees and the tens of millions they lost against the state of California due to worker rights violations.

And they thought putting the Blizzard games on Steam would give them a fresh start.

P.S. Why is it that EA and Ubisoft can link accounts, but Blizzard cannot? Because they want players to double-dip.

Since Steam isn't saying I refunded. You can read it for yourself
