Helldivers 2 takes what made the first game great, puts it into a third person environment and runs with it. It’s how a live service game should be run, with a great rewards and levelling system that doesnt necessarily make you feel weaker than everyone else but once you unlock things you do begin to feel more powerful. Yes it does have a few bugs here and there and servers are getting hurt quite a bit but considering it has over x100 the previous games player count, its getting there and its a fantastic game nevertheless. Worth a play!

A great story and a great concept, whilst initially the game may seem difficult, the more you play, the more experienced and fun you have. Although the game is very linear and almost a roguelike, the game has many side rooms and sidequests to keep you invested aswell as plenty of replayability being there is also multiple endings. Definetly the greatest hack and slash type game I have ever played.

Grounded's core foundation is on being played together, 2 players or more and with each additional player it becomes easier. It regularly receives updates with new content and patches and is very easy to pick up and play at any time. Worlds can be hosted online for free to allow one player to play even while the other is away (Basically Minecraft Realms but free). It is a fantastic take on being shrunk down in the backyard and definetly takes inspiration from older movies. Definetly worth buying if your have someone else who is interested - you will not be dissapointed.

At its core, Viscera is cleaning up simulator. Except the controls are as janky as surgeon simulator and there is more blood. The game can be a great time waster, with levels varying in length from 30 minutes to upwards of 3 hours. The ability to play online with co op however means these level times can be substantially reduced. The music can be annoying (as well as the unforgiving buggy mechanics at times) but it is still a great game to get and definitely worth it if its on sale.

Deep Rock Galactic is built on the same basic principles as games like warframe, you pick a character, complete quests/assignments and load up into randomly generated matches. You can choose to play solo, but it is best enjoyed in co op with a group (up to 4 players). There is a large range of difficulties for every kind of player and a wide range of playstyles with each of the 4 character types having other weapons to choose from. Definetly a fantastic game to buy if your looking for something new to play with some friends.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a successful sequel to its predecessor Plague Tale: Innocence. Where the game often lacks is when it tries too hard to reuse or recycle content (animations or sequences) which made me personally bored through the early stages of the game. However, it takes a massive leap in story and gameplay the further you dive in, infact the final chapters feel so much better than the rest of the game almost as if the first portion of the game was left overs of the first game and the later portions were all newly made. The story is brutal, relentless and intriguing, its definetly worth playing. After all, its on game pass so you could always try it there.

Overall, I did enjoy this game, but it wasn't 'that good'. It claims to be something of a 'roguelite' as to not fully conform to being a roguelike because it has progression elsewhere but I'm not sure i would even called it a roguelike. Almost nothing happens when you die and there is a much bigger focus on everything else in the game than playing its "roguelike" adventure. The game forces you to finish about 5 runs in each area before versing its final boss and then unlocking it as a proper roguelike area but, there isnt any real incentive to continue on and play it. The game at its core starts of very exciting and seems overwhelming with all the early game content but it does quickly slow down and can become repetitive. It is still enjoyable and I would still recommend it but if your looking for a roguelike, this isn't it.

Stray, most notably known as "the cat game" prides itself on being truly just that. A cat game. Fantastic scenery, dystopian setting and a decent story, even with all the hype surrounding this game, I still felt that it was under hyped with the fantastic experience I had with the game. Although on the shorter side (~4 hours) the price reflects this and it leaves you wanting more! Modern day games rarely leave you wanting more, rather quiet the opposite. This game also launched with very few bugs and glitches, many of which are already patched not even a week on. Fantastic game.

A Good Day For A Swell Battle!

Cuphead is a game in its own league, some consider it rage inducing or compare it to dark souls but its truly very unique and its own thing. Cuphead strives itself on pretending to be a 1930's cartoon except it basically is, everything is hand drawn and hand painted with water colours. The art style is fabulous to look at as you spend hours perfecting and beating each of its unique bosses, each with unique mechanics, abilities and character design. Easy to learn, hard to master.

Elden ring is a league of its own. Im not much of a soul game player but this is truely something else. Elden ring prides itself on building on every good aspect of every game previous released in the genre making the greatest entry as of yet. Each boss, piece of dialogue and quest is extremely well thought out. The pc port has its issues but one week in and its nearly fixed. This game took me just shy of 60 hours to complete just the main story with a large amount of leveling and grinding for gear. Even if your not an enjoyer of soul games, as I often am not, Elden is a lot more forgiving and built to better allow new players into the franchise. 10/10
