#FixTF2

Edit: Still keeping it negative until Valve shows they will continue support for this game besides the banning of bots.

This is a negative review for Sony, not Arrowhead. Arrowhead is great (besides the community managers), and they have made a great game.

Requiring a PSN account MONTHS after launch is scummy as scummy can be, especially since only a limited amount of countries can even make an account. This locks consumers from being able to play the game that they have already put dozens of hours into. This also could lock people out of refunds, so people bought a game, only to be shafted by corporate greed. If the PSN account was REQUIRED at the start, the game would have had a smaller player base, but would still have positive reviews. But only enforcing this months after launch alienates a chunk of the player base.

Edit: WE DID IT HELLDIVERS, WE MADE SONY REVERT THEIR WAYS.

Edit 2: NVM, they still won't allow sales in many countries.

Don't usually do bad reviews (except for that one Blizzard game), so take this how you will. And this isn't a review on the game itself, more of the "remastered" version that Konami is (or isn't) trying to make this. Edit: And if it isn't a remaster, then might as well just play the emulated versions, considering they work better and Kojima doesn't even get anything from his own work being re-used.

Solely based on the 15 minutes I played with MGS 1, the master collection seems like a lazy port. They didn't cap the frame rate (resulting in a faster game at higher FPS), if you tab out of the game while in full screen, it swaps into window mode so you have to return to the main menu (which is not possible unless you quit out of the game itself, at least at the start), they didn't even try to upscale the game at all, and it honestly seems like they just put everything together and slapped on a "MASTER COLLECTION" name so they could release it on PC.

Edit: "press alt + enter and it'll switch between windowed/full-screen, you don't need to restart the game." Seems like that should be something pointed out without having to be told by someone else to learn about it.

As a person with 430 hours on PC, and about 100 on xbox when Overwatch came out, this game is hell now. Originally, the game allowed you to gain ALMOST every single unlock by just playing the game (excluding limited time ones such as lego bastion, pink mercy, and the league skins). Now, in order to get older skins, you need to do most of the battlepass to get 1 legendary skin. Now with the battlepass, you would assume that (like every other game with a battlepass) it has a currency that, if you buy the premium version, can make the next one free if you complete most/all of the pass. NOPE, you get a F2P currency that you cannot buy in anyway, and is only used for old/basic skins. You can technically get the battlepass for free, if you grind for months on end and never miss a single week. You can get up to 60 credits a week, it costs 1000 credits to get the battlepass, that is AT LEAST 17 WEEKS TO GET THE BATTLEPASS. This isn't even mentioning the fact that those same credits, require 1500 credits to get a new legendary skin. Now let's get to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ way Blizzard locks heroes. I personally am not effected by this because I have played the game before, but for new players, you have to play the game (which is mainly about countering heroes with other heroes) with a small roster. This makes it hard for new players to try out new characters without playing hundreds of games first.
Quickfire time because ♥♥♥♥ it:
-♥♥♥♥♥♥, invasive, and sometimes illegal shop systems
-Bug fixes happen every season/mid-season patch, unless it is related to money
-The devs straight up lied when launching Overwatch 2 and 90% of what was in the original OW2 trailer was scrapped before it was even made public.
-Less effort overall (besides the marketing and art team) were put into the game since the release of OW2
-Balancing is even worse than anything OW1 has seen (besides GOATS, that can stay in hell)
-Who thought giving a high mobility, high damage character a one-shot was a good idea (and she still is in the game, 195 is still pretty much one shot in most situations, and Mercy exists)
-The switch to 5v5 makes some tanks feel obsolete, such as wrecking ball, due to the fact that the off-tank playstyle is a lot harder to pull off successfully with no one peeling for your team.
-They made the game EVEN MORE about winning with daily and weekly challenges that are the bulk of your BP XP (until the update that could have been added since launch)
-Removed multiple systems, and are slowly adding them back, in worse conditions.
-The MMR system is fine, but in tangent with SR, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥. You can be a silver player, do really well on one match, so your MMR decides to bump you up, but your SR doesn't follow as much. So you can be in Diamond/Master matches as Silver (or the other way around). ELO Hell does exist because of this. Sure, you might not be masters, but you definitely aren't bronze.
-Almost no reason to play the arcade mode (which is supposed to be the "fun" mode) unless you want to complete challenges or if there is a limited mode.
-Speaking of limited modes, they somehow ♥♥♥♥ those up even more. Lucio ball, the fun soccer/rocket league type mode, somehow was screwed up when it was put in the arcade during OW2. You would consistently not hit the ball and miss shots that would've scored/blocked points.
-Blizzard is making their most casual game, into a competitive game artificially with Overwatch League, and it isn't even working.
-Lastly (and there is so much more that I could add to this, but I'm done for now), Blizzard is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company and ruins anything that they touch/try to continue. Get out while you can.

Early Access Review
At the time of this review, the game had just had its first minor content update, and even for something minor, it's great. The game does not have much as of right now, but what it does have is pretty good. Another review describes this game as GTA Online without the griefers, and I am inclined to agree, but a bit more as well added. The game has daily/weekly updates, constant hot fixes and developer involvement in the forums. I do have to agree with the developers as well in the "Why Early Access?" area, the game is already really fun and is (probably, I solo'd this entire thing) better with friends. Now let's get to the price. Is this game worth $20? As of now, gameplay-wise, not really, but the potential and communication coming from the developers makes it worth even more. Right now the performance isn't stellar, but it seems to be getting better considering I have a 3060, and haven't noticed stutters outside of the intro on max settings. 8/10 leading into a 10/10 due to the developers

I've finished my first play through of this game in about 10 hours, in that time I: learned how to walk stupid, punched everything in almost existence, intimidated everything else, gained tens of thousands of meat through playing "Poker" and selling things from the 50K skeletons I killed with a friend that could insta-kill them, made a cow soldier, Stopped the end of the world, Gained an unlimited supplies of bones and grain, became overcome by eating too many cow parts, walked around pissed as hell, foraged everything, and finally, Gave a Cactus a lover.

10/10
Would Ice Skate to kill cows again.
