I love this game.
Honestly, let's take a look a look at this game, starting from the specimens:
The specimen's are so..unique! Each one has it's own features and characteristics that progressively make it harder to drag yourself through the rooms- from Specimen 2, all the way to Specimen 13, from Freaky Puppets to Form Changing 'Aliens' to a damn Cult-Lord looking DEER! That's not speaking of the lovely music that plays with different chases- they're just so..intense, right? You enter a room and hear Specimen's 4's music, those threatening yet dulcet tones are unmistakable, as you simply realize-
You need to RUN!!
Then let's go to to room designs,
which are absolutely tone-setting!
The dark, uncertain shadows that lie beyond your vision, occasionally being dimly illuminated by faint torches along the walls..
Or maybe even murky, nerve-wracking waters that slow you to a insane degree! If it's not one thing hindering you, it's always another, and that's what makes it perfect- I mean sure, those waters ARE annoying to trudge through, but atleast you have near full-sight of the room!
And sure, the unsure-ness of the darkness is equally as annoying, but atleast your sprint isn't majorly slowed!

Then. we arrive to my ultimate reason why this game is just so amazing:
It doesn't fall into the same lore bait that most horror indies do- sure, there IS layers of depth and backstory, but they're optional, not a focus. Along with that- it doesn't take itself too seriously!
It's focused around the fun of horror, instead of the mutual milking with youtubers like Matpat (love you Mat)!
Like, seriously, so many terrible Indie Horror games are absolutely desperate for youtubers to direct their 8-year-old fans onto it.
it stared with FNAf, while a good franchise, the whole lore-obsession has been a huge detriment to the genre since then, (still love you though FNAF)
Though Horror may not be in a good spot right now..
This game is a nice break from all the other streotypical horror indies.
I love this game, whole-heartedly.
