Feels like pre-early access. Audio mixing is bad and doesn't fit the game, environmental hazards go through floors, enemies and starting resources are random to the point you may as well restart till it gives you what you want to start with, there's no feedback for anything, health is low and not adequate for every other issue listed.

The visual style was interesting when it came out and the game could have been something special if it had been worked on. As is, I'd not bother with this and play something else. I waited years to give this a go with friends before I just went and tried it solo today and the idea was definitely better than the execution.

A shame but these days, there's other options at least. Terraria with a roguelike mod would be a good alternative if you want this visual theme and some cool lighting.

Jolly game. Visually a nice throwback to the Banjo Kazooie days and movement is pretty fun! Collecting gears each level was for the most part enjoyable and each level felt like it had a fairly unique theme. I wish there was a water level in here cause mashing the dash key to fly through big stretches of water feels great.

Some levels could do with some direction as to where to go and how things are, levels should have invisible walls instead of kicking you out if you go too far and I feel like the gliding and dash attack trivialise levels a lot but this is a really easy, chill way to spend an hour and a half. There's one particularly great level in here using coloured switches for some light puzzles that was really fun to race through.

Main downside? Voice acting. Let us turn it off! Great game though, I had a lot of fun.

Toree 3D was great but this is dire. As a sequel I was hoping for the good level design of the first but a little improved with some new gameplay mechanics. We got interesting gameplay mechanics but the devs phoned in the level design, the bugs from the first game are still there and the final level and boss fight are exceptionally dull and annoying. The christmas levels are honestly some of the worst game design I've seen, giving Felix the Toy a run for it's money.

Avoid if you want a full game but I'd say it's almost worth grabbing on sale if you enjoyed the first. It's not great but the first 4 levels are decent.

I would have been fine with this if it was a free game on itch being a little personal project being finished by a developer to prove themselves. This isn't though, it's a paid game and I was gifted it to share in my friend's suffering and they got their wish. I now want a written apology. This may seem harsh but I'm just being honest.

Every part of this game has been aggressively designed to be as mediocre and unenjoyable as possible. Invisible walls are put in completely nonsensical locations to the point that even on the very very few selected routes, you'll bonk off them and have to spend absolutely ages walking back and doing lengthy platforming sections again and again. That's if jumps being eaten, the character randomly lifting off the ground or player momentum being eaten mid jump doesn't get you first. I've even fallen through solid platforms randomly.

Collectibles are spread out in over sized levels as far apart as possible in increasingly large numbers in levels that exponentially increase in size. Almost everything appears to have been made with primitive shapes and textures made in paint which would be fine if it wasn't for the fact the dev didn't even bother to work with hitboxes to smooth things over and make the game playable. Even floors, even on the level hub aren't even and force you jump to move from a level entrance area back to the main path.

Thematically, the game is set after a rapture but it's really just an excuse for a static, lifeless game. The devs only seemed to realise bounce pads, moving and rotating platforms are easy to implement on the last level and they're not well utilised so the game leading up to that point is just awkward platforming. There's also text boxes scattered absolutely everywhere that are confusingly placed in the middle of the air but activated by walking under them with the tendency of blocking most of the screen.

That brings me onto the camera: extremely restricted angles, slow to move with a control pad and it collides with the environment making it very difficult to see anything much of the time. Object render orders have also been implemented incorrectly so perspectives get warped, objects get hidden behind other objects and collectibles in some areas are invisible unless viewed from a perfect place and angle.

This was a joyless, soul crushing experience and if I'm completely honest, depression feels more uplifting and jolly than playing this. I somehow cut my finger earlier and it wouldn't stop bleeding, I had a better time. Again, I'd be more forgiving if this was a free game off steam but it isn't. This is a game you make if you follow a tutorial for your first basic platformer project in Unity. You run around, you jump, you collect objects and when you collect them all, the level ends. The core game is a 10 minute project. The textures would take a bit longer as would blocking out the levels but I wish more time was taken looking at the classic platformers already out there and and effort spent on making a tighter, more enjoyable experience.

Invisible walls being absolutely everywhere, unclear routes, long resets on a single fall at any place, lack of checkpoints, no gameplay variation, an obsession with time wasting and the most awkwardly set up platforms in existence make for a bad time. I'm not even being harsh here, this is just the experience.

Good on you dev for finishing a game project but please don't sell it unless there's a solid game in there. I genuinely wanted to have an enjoyable, chill time with this game and committed to doing a 100% playthrough. I did it but now I need to drink rum and whisky while I stare out a window into the night.

I was very kindly gifted this and it ended up being a perfect and much needed distraction game. It's a really short game you can blast through in less than an hour if you just want to reach the goal of each level, it doesn't take a whole lot more time if you want to go for every collectible in each level which I'd recommend for your first time finishing each level as it's quite fun.

Controls are basic: Run, jump, move and camera controls and that's it. There's some fans (which like to eat your double jump), moving platforms, ice physics and boosts and that's pretty much it outside of enemies that kill on contact. It really doesn't need much more though. Controls feel tight enough to give precision and let you get annoyed here and there knowing you can do things a little better.

The game gives most of its playtime when you go for S ranks on levels. it forces you to figure out subtle controls, mechanics, timing, tricks and shortcuts just to save a crucial second here or there. To me, this game feels like it was made as an introductory hook into speedrunning.

I just finished my 4th S rank and it came down to a trick I'd passively pondered but thought would be impossible.40 mins later after figuring out every other possible skip and meticulously optimising my movements, I tried that final skip out of desperation and pulled it off saving about 7-8 seconds and securing the S rank. It was that satisfying, vindicating moment you see from speedrunners who get a personal best after trying over and over, and over again!

This is a casual short game with enough there for anyone that wants more of a challenge. I love collectathons and N64 style games so put all of this together and in my eyes it's a great game.

This would make a great blind S-rank race game for anyone into that kind of thing!

Early Access Review
I saw this briefly on stream, decided to wait for it on sale and showed interest when it did and my friend very kindly gifted it to me. After messing about to find a beta build that has multiplayer and is stable enough to play single player, I found it and I'm having fun so far. Positioning stuff feels like a puzzle, you get to fix and tinker with things a little and the game is a big 3D inventory management game but Desert Bus with occasional zombies.

I hear updates are slow going (some Steam Workshop/modding support and it would probably keep people happy for longer) but I'm enjoying myself so far. I don't game a huge amount these days but when I do, I've been quite happy with slower paced games with prep and inventory management as prominent gameplay.

Great if you want to chill in a silly little world!

It was slow to start every game, things felt a bit clunky and I don't really enjoy the combat or interacting with enemies. I don't feel like the time it takes to get going and potentially dying has a good enough reward to be worth it.

Many seem to enjoy it but I just wouldn't recommend it personally based on these things. I don't think it's terrible but if like me, you wanted something you can jump right into and have some smooth, fast paced survivor style action then it's probably not for you.

There's a really great game in here but the game will not run on modern systems. I've spent countless hours going through every fix and workaround imaginable. Launch parameters, compatibility modes and options, config files, installing legacy drivers, trying third party tools... none of it works! The best you can hope for is it boots up the main menu if you're lucky, and if you're really lucky it'll even play the opening cut scene before it takes your PC hostage and forces a power cycle to regain control which in itself can be a task when this happens.

The game also has multiplayer which is disabled, expansions which are not enabled or included and if the game ran, you'd have to use fan patches and work on installing expansions and enabling both them and the multiplayer yourself. That wouldn't be so bad if it at least ran as a single player game.

I'm grateful for getting it as a gift and I can at least experience it on Steam Deck using an old version of Proton but outside of that, I've yet to see this game function and I'm far from alone on this.

Steam only runs on Windows 10 or later and this game can only run on much older versions of Windows. The game needs to be forcefully delisted until the developer or publisher actually makes the game usable for people who own the game. I've had to report a game for the first time here! Steam really needs to do better here too and prune games that do not function.

Probably the best VR game made and worth buying a headset for. It's got difficulty modes for everyone with a nice selection of tracks and genres. If you can fully vibe with the music and dance along then it's an incredible personal VR experience. I came back to the game after not playing in around 6 months or so and I've gone from getting by on most songs with some being a bit difficult to playing purely on expert successfully. When it clicks, it's amazing.

Depending on your fitness level, it'll make you sweat and give you a bit of a workout. While I don't think you could really use this to replace a proper workout, it's a nice little extra to get you up on your feet and moving about. A great kickstart to getting fitter and healthier and otherwise just a healthy fun game to play.

If you have a VR headset and don't own this game, you really should consider buying this, In my opinion, VR was made for rhythm games.

I'm hoping eventually we get full body body tracking or at the very least foot tracking to combine with the current control scheme just to add more intensity!

There are a few downsides worth mentioning:

•Its nice to have PVP multiplayer but it really needs an option to allow each player to play on separate difficulties and some form of interaction between players would be nice.

•There's a nice amount of songs for free but overall, the selection is pretty lacking and it doesn't feel quite as proactive about increasing the library as Synth Riders which I also think needs more songs. While you can install mods to play custom songs, they often lack difficulty options and are wildly inconsistent in quality and in my experience, it's mostly not great. I would love to see a Rock Band style push for a much larger library.

I love K-pop and other than BTS and a K/D/A song, I'm not getting those here!

•You really have to be wired or have your PC connected to your router via ethernet and a really good wifi connection because even in the same room with all of that? I get lag spikes intermittently which messes with the game. Less a Beat Saber issue but it's a game where this really matters so it's worth mentioning. I bought the game again on the Meta store just to avoid the issue entirely.

Outside of those, there's really not a whole lot to complain about, it's just a great game.
