BattleBit Remastered has done an impressive job of making an already good game even better. Building upon the original game's solid foundation, this remastered version delivers a delightful blend of tactical combat, deep strategic elements, and immersive role-play, all of which makes it a must-have for military simulation enthusiasts.

One of the best improvements in this remastered version is the graphical upgrade. The original game, while having its own charm, lacked the visual polish of its peers. BattleBit Remastered, on the other hand, looks stunning. The environments are rendered in meticulous detail, from the urban battlegrounds to the rugged rural landscapes. This graphical overhaul significantly enhances the immersion, making you feel like you're in the heart of a real battlefield.

The sound design is another area where BattleBit Remastered shines. Every bullet whizzing by, every explosion, and every call-out from your squad is realistic and adds to the high-stakes atmosphere. The game's audio has been so meticulously crafted that I would highly recommend playing it with a good set of headphones.

The tactical depth of BattleBit Remastered remains as rewarding as ever. Team play and strategic planning are paramount, and there's a real sense of accomplishment when your plans come together. There's a wide range of weapons and vehicles available, each with its own strengths and weaknesses that can significantly impact the outcome of the skirmishes. You'll need to master these tools and learn to work with your team to succeed.

If there's one area where the game could use some improvement, it's in the player tutorials. Newcomers might find the learning curve a bit steep as the game doesn't do the best job of explaining some of its more complex mechanics. However, stick with it, and you'll find a rich and rewarding experience underneath.

The multiplayer component remains the centerpiece of BattleBit Remastered. The servers are generally stable, and latency wasn't a major issue during my playthrough. The community is active and generally friendly, always ready to assist new players and engage in strategizing for the next big operation.

In conclusion, BattleBit Remastered is an excellent example of how to do a remaster right. It respects the original game's core mechanics while significantly improving the audio-visual elements. It's a challenging, rewarding experience that should not be missed by fans of the military simulation genre. The tutorial could use a bit more depth, but that minor gripe does not significantly detract from what is otherwise a highly enjoyable experience.

Great job to the developers for taking an already compelling game and enhancing it to such a degree. If you enjoyed the original BattleBit or just love deep tactical games, BattleBit Remastered should be on your radar. This is a remaster done right, and it gets a well-deserved 9 out of 10 from me.

Deep Rock Galactic is a truly unique experience in the co-op gaming space, blending elements of first-person shooters, survival, and exploration games into a package that is so much more than the sum of its parts. Developed by Ghost Ship Games and released in 2020, it has quickly built a dedicated following and has managed to offer something new and refreshing to the genre.

Deep Rock Galactic shines with its cooperative multiplayer gameplay, putting you in the boots of a space dwarf miner working for the titular company. You and your team are tasked with exploring dangerous, procedurally generated cave systems on a hostile planet, gathering resources and combating an array of alien creatures. The class-based system, featuring the Driller, Gunner, Scout, and Engineer, each with their own abilities and gear, facilitates deep strategic gameplay and encourages team play.

The game's graphics are a mix of stylized design and realism, creating a visually captivating and immersive world. Caverns are dark and menacing, filled with fascinating alien flora and fauna, and the game's use of lighting is nothing short of brilliant. The atmosphere is further enriched by an excellent sound design, which does a fantastic job of creating a sense of tension and urgency.

One of the game's standout features is its destructible environment. Virtually everything can be mined, dug through, or blown up. This provides a dynamic and interactive backdrop for missions and can be used strategically in both exploration and combat, adding another layer of depth to the gameplay.

Deep Rock Galactic's difficulty scales smartly to accommodate both the number of players and their chosen difficulty, ensuring a consistently challenging and engaging experience. The mission variety keeps the game fresh, with different objectives, biomes, and enemy types requiring you to continually adapt your strategy.

At its core, Deep Rock Galactic is a celebration of teamwork. It creates moments of tension, excitement, and triumph that are best shared with friends. It's easy to pick up but offers enough depth to keep you coming back for more. If you're looking for a cooperative game that combines exploration, combat, and strategy in a captivating and challenging environment, Deep Rock Galactic is a must-play.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, or PUBG, delivers a thrilling and exhilarating gaming experience that has indisputably shaped the landscape of the battle royale genre. Since its release in 2017, it has been a standout title, with its intense, strategic gameplay and vast, detailed environments.

The heart-pounding action begins from the moment you parachute onto the map, whether you're in the midst of Erangel's haunting forests, Miramar's vast deserts, or Sanhok's dense jungles. Every session is a unique story of survival, as up to 100 players compete in an ever-shrinking play zone, adding a sense of urgency and suspense that is always compelling.

PUBG's attention to detail is striking. The highly realistic weapon mechanics and tactical elements, like bullet drop and weapon recoil, elevate the game's immersion to another level. You can feel the tension as you traverse the beautifully-rendered landscapes, loot buildings for supplies, and strategically plan your next move, always wary of unseen enemies.

Despite its high stakes gameplay, PUBG is accessible to players of all skill levels, with a matchmaking system that ensures you are pitched against those of similar skill levels. It also offers various modes including solo, duo, and squad options, promoting both individual competition and cooperative team play.

The continuous updates and new content, like maps, weapons, and events, keep the game fresh and engaging, making sure that every match is a unique experience. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer, PUBG offers a thrilling, unpredictable adventure that keeps you coming back for more. It's not just a game, it's a battle royale experience that sets the bar high for its genre.

Fastest way to ruin friendships. Argue and talk over each other followed by silence. 10/10 would recommend.

I was not impressed with the game in general. Love C&C as a series but this game was not for me.
