Could've been godlike. But devs stopped

EDIT: Shooting is still HOT GARBAGE in this game. Devs worried so much about balance because of the kids who cant play defense it's now too rough.
I've been very critical of this game from jump. Partially because 2v2 basketball games I've been playing since 4 years old and in NBA JAM tournaments since i was 8. This game at first i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated it. Speed of the game was garbage, 3 point shooting? Our Lord and Savior Black Jesus Christ would go 1/10. and Now it's just inconsistent, especially with anyone under 90 rating for 3s which is an improvement from 'not gonna happen". John Starks & Charles Oakley... NO EWING. I mean... WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥.. But they fixed a bunch of things that needed fixing. 3s as i said before got tweaked a bit. Speed of the game increased. Unfortunately the shot clock reset glitch is still in. Maybe they'll fix it? Maybe not. Who knows. can't deny the continous support though. As well as optimization. Super smooth at 120-144hz frames. Roster updates, AI is a bit sharper. Online is better. And.... It's better than 2k's staple game lmaoo. Saber, Karch, Iglesias, they are doing their thing.

Last review was of the early access version. Only right to do the full version of the game. This game is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2D basically. And by basically, I mean WTF I played this 5 hours straight a day?? The game is great, every problem/ bug thrown at the devs they fixed at a resonable timeframe. Achievements are good to go after, and 100 of them. Devs listen on their discord. For an eternity of re-playability, get yourself a THPS/ THPS2 soundtrack playlist and go on a mix of nostalgia and new age gaming wave to really put yourself in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ early 2000's gaming nuthouse.

So i was not only scared of buying due to me being scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of Activision somehow finding a way to mess up the PC version's frame (Bought it on PS4 and it's GODLIKE 30 ♥♥♥♥♥ FRAMES) but also.. It's Activision. But honestly this is the greatest remake i have ever played. Unlimited frames, phenomenal gameplay, everything intact. This game is the reason im never buying a ps4 game ever again

Man, whrre has this been all my life. Just when I thought nothing would surpass Shank 2 as far as violence, alas this comes in a sale. Initially i was anticipating "Raging Justice" but that game flopped in my eyes. While looking for another Beat em' up found this gem AND on sale. So i am happy af right now. Fighting is fun, fatalities, great (creepy) story, and an arena mode. Can see me playing a lot of this.

Nah... Isn't it. Stiff music, stiff algorithms, gameplay isn't refined. Nice effort though it is definitely there. Bright side is I found out about Mother Russia bleeds and River City Ransom Underground so can't get mad. Especially when these games exceed expectations. Had to refund this one.

My first basketball game, and first game ever was NBA JAM T.E., so initially this type of game wouldn't appeal to me. Reminds me of Kobe Bryant's 3 on 3 on the Gameboy color. And i know it will strike people's memory with Double Dribble. It's fun for what it is. Love the OG Knicks Squads and Spike Lee in the front row is godlike. Want more animations especially when it's a dunk with nobody in front of you. So that's basically it

Updating the review to say that using this with a Sinden Lightgun is fun as hell. And to harass the dev to put MM 2 on steam. Lightgun games are making a comeback.
