Great game all-around. Characters are well written, the gameplay and level design is exceptional, and (most importantly, as someone with ADHD) the pacing + length is perfect; it will keep you engaged and thinking "just one more level" throughout the whole campaign. It's clear that a lot of love went into making this game

I've played a few "difficult" games in the past, but Celeste is by far my favorite. I've also consistently sucked at most of said difficult games (Celeste being no exception), but I think atmosphere the devs created really kept me pushing through. The whole game just felt great to play. Celeste's OST fits beautifully and the story is great as well. Plus, free update coming!

Before I start: I want to recommend this game but the stability issues in this game can't go unnoticed. I've beaten the game twice in multiplayer and crashed both times while loading the credits, erasing all progress in those runs. While it is viable to go into the game data file and edit values to compensate for lost progress, the game should be able to save character progress throughout the run in order to prevent this sort of mishap.

Moving on, the actual content of the game is great. The character selection is nice and there's much to unlock and accomplish. I've spent a few hours in singleplayer and multiplayer each trying to get artifacts and achievements. There's a decent variety of characters with a range of abilities. Item unlocks are based on character achievements, so there's a lot to unlock and many in-game achievements to hunt.

Level design is good as well. Can't really complain here other than about how you might have to venture across the map to clean up enemies after the teleporter fight.

Multiplayer is easy enough to setup if you can port-forward. As stated earlier, the game has some bugs with multiplayer, but it's fine for the most part.

TLDR: RoR is definitely worth picking up if it's on sale or you don't mind the risk of crashing. It's a great game held back by some bugs. So much to do in the game and it's a fun game to play with friends.

One of my favorite stories I've ever read/played. The plot is well developed and thoroughly enjoyable. This game is a steal at its current sale price!

Art is simplistic but amazing in its own style. The characters have nice designs and I love the level design. It's such a beautiful game -- nothing I'd expect out of a game I'd never heard of before its sale.

As for controls, the movement with clicking can be a bit annoying, but it's really no big deal. The puzzles are easier than I thought they'd be. I don't think going for the "ideal" amount of moves on all the puzzles does anything significant, so no need to be stubborn like I was and keep trying to find the ideal move order.

The soundtrack for this game is amazing. After launching the game for the first time, I was awed by the main menu track and knew it'd be well worth my time even if it were just for the music. Throughout the game, the soundtrack worked well to produce an appropriate atmosphere, as the soundtracks were very nice and fitting.

TLDR: I can't recommend this game enough. The story is fascinating and the soundtrack is worth the price of the entire game.
