QUICK SUMMARY: If you’re looking for any missables in the game, I would recommend checking this guide here . The turn-based story is filled with amazing twists and turns that make it hard to even predict events at times. You’ll never know when your goal to pick up some berries may lead you to discovering complex mysteries in this photorealistic-graphic world!

LEVELING: When you are at home, you can find the training mode tab. I strongly recommend you focus on Agility, which mostly means the Kick Training. Agility is a very powerful stat, both in terms of actual combat, and allowing you to Quick Hunt weak enemies in the future. If you have trained your agility, you will act before most enemies, giving you the upper hand on an additional turn, evasion, and empowered physical attacks. Furthermore, agility is one of the hardest stats to improve via items and equipment. This will probably somewhat slant your build towards physical rather than magical, but you can compensate for that if you're interested in slinging spells instead of swinging a sword.

GAMEPLAY: What sets this game apart from the rest is its gameplay loop. At first glance it is very similar to the Atelier series: you harvest materials, fight mobs, do some story, do whatevs back in your witch cabin, rinse, and repeat. But what I find fascinating is this game’s understanding of gradual progression. In the entirety of your playthrough, you will notice that you’re constantly growing stronger. If you happen to overgrind, enemies that used to take a bunch of turns to beat eventually become one-shootable after a while. Furthermore, this is true not just for mobs but even bosses. I would encourage you to pace in this game as the highest difficulty, normal, is relatively easy.

CONCLUSION: If you enjoy turn-based JRPGs of any kind, from pets to legendary weapons to not-so-obvious side quests, the exploration in WitchSpring R is an absolute delight. Sadly, WitchSpring R doesn’t have a NewGame+. As a result, achievement hunters should take advantage of the guide for their first playthrough.

UNCENSORED/CENSORED?!: Rejoice! The game is uncensored; for FURYU Corporation is showing off those sweet succulent, bare peaches when you unleash your full tear gauge.

STORY: This is where the game really shines at its brightest. Without going too much into spoilers, our high school protagonist Rei Hatada lives with her younger sister Mirai all while dealing with their uneventful past. Rei has trouble socializing due to her lingering trauma, but gets by with the help of her doting sister. Their everyday life is shattered one day, when they are suddenly dragged down into a mysterious world that they'll soon learn is the underworld, by a revenant called Anamnesis. The natural order of things in the underworld is that spirits make their way down towards the Gear of Renewal, which absorbs their souls and prepares them to eventually be reincarnated. However, some dead people have too strong a desire to keep on living, and become 'revenants' who usually try to revive themselves by absorbing other souls. When Mirai is in trouble, Rei finds a hidden power inside herself - a guardian spirit that offers her power, which she accepts to protect Mirai. Unfortunately, Rei is unable to control her emotions and newfound power, which leads to the start of our story. Overwhelmed with despair, she is approached by two demon sisters, Mephis and Pheles, who offer her a deal.

GAMEPLAY: Moving through the story means going through the game. And unfortunately the gameplay has some issues. The biggest issue to point out is the fact that the normal enemies are super tanky. This is a real shame, because there's a decent equipment combining/strengthening system where you can boost your gear using drops from enemies, but it’ll be glossed over with the excessive amount of farming from the needlessly, spongy enemies. On the other hand, the bosses are enjoyable to face (think of them as your metro mania bosses you find in other games). Most of them start off with only a few attack patterns at the start of the fight, but as their health gets lower, they gain more that you need to watch out for.

PLAYTIME: The estimate time to complete the playthrough will be ~20-30 hours depending on how much you grind for levels. It’s not a long game, but I believe that it’s part of the reason that they made the enemies sturdier than intended. I would heavily advise waiting for a discount on the game considering this factor included.

CONCLUSION: If you’re wondering whether to play it or not, it mainly comes down to if you like the game’s overall aesthetic and story premise.

QUICK SUMMARY: Get the mods in the community hub for the uncensored version of the game (Voice alteration and smoke remover) here, it makes the game then worth buying. The story takes place in the wonderful land of Hell. You, the voiceless protag, have been hired on as Warden of a group of girls who, for one reason or another, find themselves imprisoned in the afterlife.

LEVELING: Defeat monsters to obtain CM and Exp. CM is used for either "Motivation Time" or buying shop items. Motivation Time consists of different interactive minigames, from using a whip to slap away different temptations to using a shock stick and moving a slider in a specific direction. Every boost provides different benefits like increased attack power and new skills. It’s easily the most important gameplay feature, and the place you’ll be spending most of your time.

GAMEPLAY: Once you’re in combat, everything comes down to the luck of the draw. You won’t be able to specifically decide what action to take. Instead, each girl presents you with four random actions to take from their respective pool of abilities (with accompanying dialog). This includes attacking the enemy normally, teaming up with a party member for a combo, or unleashing a special skill. You are only able to use a single item or switch a party member per round, though this does not sacrifice a turn. I can't stress this enough for those who get stuck with the bosses, USE RAN. She provides some of the best strategies for defense and guarding (Her Invincibility Skill and Revive Skill have saved me countless times).

CONCLUSION: The dungeon crawler gameplay is entertaining, and I found the vibrant and emotive chibi sprites appealing. The audio is solid, which helps when the game is fully character voiced with some nice BGM.

Before anything else, I would highly suggest that you change the control layout for this game because the mapping is completely messed up. When you startup the game for the first time, go to the Settings tab and remap the controls. Since I used a xbox controller, this was my gamepad layout:
Button 3 --> X Button 6 --> RB
Button 1 --> A Button 8 --> RT
Button 2 --> B Button 10 --> R
Button 4 --> Y Button 5 --> LB
Button 9 --> Start Button 7 --> LT
*Button 12 --> Back Button 11 --> L
* This button is annoying to deal with, I would recommend that you adjust it to the number when you enter for the first time because it has a bad tendency of having no drop downs for you to pick a number afterwards.

STORY: The story was pretty dull in my view. Each chapter goes by fast with no emphasis as to what will happen. Although the game has great JRPG visuals, the cutscenes were very slow paced. Also, don't expect much character development between Arnice and Lilysse until close to the ending (and the other four routes that you can see for post games).

GAMEPLAY: This is what I truly liked about the game most. You can control up to four Servans in a party that you can use on the field with unique modifiers. Finding new demons to support you are found as fetishes that can be discovered as rare drops from monsters or serven shops (FYI Serven #3 is found as the second item in Lloyd's Merchant Trade Shop in Oceania called 'Red Coral'). Demon forms were a nice addition, especially Nightmare form that can be unlocked in Postgame.

DIFFICULTY: There is no difficulties to choose from. The game is relatively normal paced through most of the game; for this is nothing struggling until you get to the final boss. Ludegert changes the gap of difficulty where I would urge that you have Arnice at level 10 and the four Servans you choose are maxed to 11. If at this point you’re wondering how to increase your level cap, go back and continue working on the Curia orders as this will further your cap to 11. Christophorus/10

LiEat is an interesting game which is all about exploring, whether it's inspecting items or conversating with everyone you can. The healing items you obtain can be a lifesavor for certain battles, but for the most part you can bypass the dragon goodies with Efi or Leo's overpowered skills. There will be times where you will need to speak to people in a specific order, but the character you're playing as will give you hints on what to do next. Each of the three stories has different endings for you to uncover. Though, in most situtations, you might stumble upon the abrupt ending with no happily ever after... so tread carefully! Overall, it's a hidden gem of a game. Efi herself is a truly charming young hybrid of human and dragon that makes you want to revert yourself back to your innocence. The price is exceedingly fair for the content you get out of it.

This game is one of my favorite RPG's ever with more complicated histories in game lore than most. Trails in the Sky focuses on two main characters (Estelle Bright and her adopted brother Joshua) who travel around their nation of Liberl. At the start of the prolouge, as you become Junior Bracers, you seek to become full-fledged members (also known as Senior Bracers) of this international organization who show an unselfish desire to help the needy. Their travels are without crises early on, but eventually lead to the forces operating in the shadows of Liberal which becomes the focal point to the game.
The difficulty of enemies can be notably hard, but having the ability in the game to catch almost all of them by sneak surprises lessens their potency. The final battle is the strongest encounter that could potentially provoke some mild anger from the player, but preparation will help manage this.
The cliffhanger to Trails in the Sky left me in awed when it left an excellent plot twist with an unnoticable antagonist that our protagonists came across through the storyline (I will leave the guessing for you to figure out). Trails in the Sky served its purpose of getting me to eagerly buy the next installment Trails in the Sky SC. I certainly had a great time throughout it, whether it was the quests or treasure chest hunts, which is more than I can say for some other games.
