Halo fanboys will defend this laggy mess. Despite some very nice graphics, the net coding and matchmaking are gabage. View ping? Nope! Choose your region? Nope! Matchmaking? Broken, it actually makes the MCC matchmaking look great.

Overall multiplayer is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash grab.

One of the worst games on steam. Total cash grab, worthless gameplay, broken English, everything that's wrong with an asset flipped project is here in this game. It has literally zero replay value and no content.

We have huge problems with the ethics taught, the morality of how one goes about hunting in the game. Like, literally it makes us sick.
I'm not against gamifying killing animals any more than I'm against COD for gamifying the killing of humans. It's not that. Games like the Cabellas hunting series treated hunting for sport differently than this does. At face value this just takes you off the rails that the Cabellas series was on, and because of that, the money mechanics, and the "instant gratification" model that exists within all modern games, it encourages and rewards anti-ethical behavior which is what we find so awful in this game.
In a game like Cabellas or Deer Hunter you hunt for specific prey on each hunt and work towards killing said quarry. This game kicks you off with a Rifle, Shotgun, and pistol, just like COD, only instead of hunting "bad guys(people who deserve killin)" you are instead unleashed on nature as if you were some sort of righteous wildlife exterminator.(Brought to you by Orkin) I was presented with my first elk within 30 seconds and with no tutorial, instruction, or set of rules outside of a normal FPS so it makes sense to kill it as it was a buck. According to the after-action report my first shot with a .308 went right into where I was aiming and impacted in the vitals, this resulted in a runner which is understandable. While on the run in COD fashion I fired a second shot that impacted the back of the head and gave me my first kill of the game. When I got to the dead elk and clicked on it I was presented with a score screen and I opted to turn it in and received money.

Over the next hour I shot 6 other elk and a plains buffalo on my way to do my first quest for the storyline.
This is disgusting as there is no need for a conservation program for people, but certainly conservation in a game reserve(where I'm hunting) is. Furthermore, there is no tag limits like the Cabellas franchise had, and the game actually rewards shooting anything that comes within range of your sniper rifle regardless of if it would make sense to kill it IRL. You have no tags, no limits, and all kills result in a monitary reward...On a game reserve. THIS IS LITERALLY POACHING!

Given that this game is marketed towards kids and non-hunters, this is teaching ideas and tactics that go directly against everything that a normal hunter believes in, anyone who understands conservation understands, and works directly against anything a proponent of ethical hunting preaches.
And this is my basis for my final point. This game is to hunting what Manhunt was to video games.

Manhunt was hated so much not on the basis of it was a good game, but if it was teaching ethics. Games like Goldeneye, COD, and Counter-Strike, were all shooters around at the same time as manhunt yet they weren't the basis for arguing for banning violent video games. What made Manhunt so problematic was the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up backwards ethics that it rewarded. Soldiers kill people in war, everyone knows this, they like it because soldiers have valor, James Bond kills terrorists and Dr. Evil and everyone applauds this because he's saving the world, and Manhunt consists of a psychopath torturing people to death in order to make snuff films for profit. One of these is not like the others, one of these things has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up ethics. The only people that would enjoy a game like Manhunt are the same kind people that would do that ♥♥♥♥ IRL if they knew they could get away with it. That was the crux of the legal and ethical issues that Manhunt created
But hunting doesn't have the religious right up in arms about it, and TheHunter isn't as big of a release as Manhunt was, however it is problematic and garbage for the exact same reason, it's morals are ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Minor gripe, my GPU really ramps the fans and sounds like a fighter jet with this game but not fs2020.

This "game is extremely basic. Without the VR gimmick it'd be a browser game of some sort. There is no controller integration for the Vive hand controllers. So the only way to move is by tilting your head. Unfortunately this creates a harsh sensation of Nausia. 3 out of 3 people who tried this with me were motion sick within just a few minutes. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

At this point the game is just shovelware from the launch of the Vive. Lucid Sight is simply trying to pad their portfolio by claiming this software. Don't feel bad for them.

This game is terribly executed.

I go to launch the game for the first time and am met with a black screen. I take off my headset and return to the computer. there's a dialog box for Uplay. Oh....its Ubisoft. I have to now sit down and recover my old Uplay account because reasons, and only once I've recovered my account can I launch the game. Except it doesn't when I launch from VR. So I return to my computer again only to find another dialog box saying "THERE WAS A PROBLEM AUTHENTICATING YOUR GAME WITH UPLAY." At this point I have to sit at my computer and try launching the game several times before finally it launches. Once the game launches I get to enjoy an extremely long tutorial before being dumped into a lobby with very toxic people.

But whatever right? At least it's time for some sweet multiplayer right? First game, the server crashes and I go to black screen. Second game I get into 2 of the 4 players can't respawn because they are stuck inside the teleporter. I spent my entire second game dying once before being stuck in the respawn teleporter looking at the back side of a 3d model. Third game had the same thing. I'm done at this point. The game is broken, Ubisoft still ruins everything, I've requested a refund.

I picked up this game dirt cheap during one of the sales. It was worth the price.

The game has several great features. It's one of the first VR games that I've played that had a good storyline to the gameplay. The storytelling was wonderful and I actually felt creeped out towards the end. The gameplay in this is definitely a wonderful next chapter for VR as a medium for exploring storytelling possiblities. Duck Hunt was one of my favorite NES games, so to have a VR version that stays very faithful in many ways to the gameplay is just wonderful.

This game is full of nostalgia for me, from all the old NES inspired cartridges, old toys, to just the feeling of being a kid again by standing only about 3 feet off the ground to simulate the perspective of being a child. The setting being inside the TV so that you can look behind yourself and see yourself as a kid on the other side of the screen. The great use of set pieces. There are a lot of wonderful choices here that make for a beautiful experience.

This "game" is trash. Here's several reasons why.

1. The "game" takes less than 5 minutes to complete, that's also a good thing because...
2. The player rides along a track that twists and turns as well as goes vertical along a bumpy path. The movement is nausea inducing because there is no references for horizon. My girlfriend actually had to use the puke bucket after a few minutes of this game. In less than 5 minutes it induced vomiting.
3. There's nothing to the game, you don't use your snazzy vive controllers, you just aim your head away from the direction of travel, which also helps induce motion sickness.

The only good thing I can say about this game is that it was free, but its a terrible experience.

I am stuck at the lowest tier and despite not having a microphone even plugged in I have been globally muted by excessive reports by foreigners. I can never get a game with four other Americans that speak English. Now I'm stuck in the trench with the most toxic group of foreigners I have ever experienced in any game since I got online in 1995.

The game now takes 20+ minutes to find a match. So to play a game I have to sit around waiting for the game. And woe unto those who don't ready up fast enough in that random few seconds waiting for the game. This isn't the same fun DOTA it used to be. It's a neverending grind to get out of the trench with no hope of ever getting there despite supporting useless ♥♥♥♥♥ in order to try and reduce queue times.

This game is horrible. There's only about 5 minutes of content. There is engrish everywhere. Save your money, buy something better.

This game was terrible, in fact everything about it was terrible. The game took a lot of tweaking to even get to run on windows 10. Once I got it running I was able to play through it. The graphics are dated in a lot of bad ways, it looks like a generic AAA game from 12 years ago. I like old graphics, but the overuse of filters to hide a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ art direction cannot be ignored.

The biggest thing that bugged me about this game though was the story. It's a single player game so the story is the only thing that matters to me. I don't care about Kane, and I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about Lynch either. In fact, in any other artform Lynch would have gotten a bullet in his head. Over and over he ♥♥♥♥♥ things up for Kane and it's never explained why he is necessary besides the fact that he reports to The7 what Kane is doing. Ok, good enough, except for the fact that during most of the game you are trying to kill The7. I don't understand the dynamic between Kane and his daughter. His daughter has never even seen him because he was in prison for her whole life.

Then the ending, what a mess. It's literally like the budget ran out right on the last level, but there was one more supposed to happen. You can't win, if you choose to abandon your team your daughter hates you and Lynch dies. If you go back to rescue your team your daughter dies and the last survivor of your team deserts you. There is no satisfaction, the game ends on a cliffhanger either way that leaves emotional tension.

But in the sequel.....Kane and lynch are friends, and Kane's daughter is still happily around??

The game is full of horrible glitches, enemies that bounce around and bug out, shooting through walls and cover. The controls are bad and unintuitive.
