Such buggy piece of ♥♥♥♥ that devs haven't bothered to add a new map in over two years.

Even though I loved Origins, I had a severe burnout and had to force myself to finish it and its DLCs. With Odyssey, I have to force myself to stop playing and go do something productive.
It might not be a great Assassin's Creed game, but it certainly is an ambitious, beautiful and overall glorious game.

Achievement. Also, this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great. Doesn't quite feel like an AC game, but it's a good shift towards making the series great again.

If you consider yourself a point-and-click adventure games fan, this is a must-have.
If you haven't ever played this type of game, buy it and play it for 2 hours; if you didn't enjoy it, get a refund.
If you played games like Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle and didn't like them, then it's probably a good idea to look elsewhere. In fact, I don't know what the ♥♥♥♥ you're doing here.

64-Bit engine? Wait a few months for redone mods to be released, and mod the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game.

First of all, I want to make it clear that I've beat every single main installment of the series, most of them many times over.

Now, I don't think this game deserves all the flake it gets, at least not in its current state. By any stretch of the imagination is it broken beyond playability. Not with proper hardware and drivers. In fact, I haven't had a single performance issue with it. Not one single crash, and it comfortably sits on the 55-75 fps range with some drops during cutscenes.
It does have some minor bugs, though. For instance, people will pop up out of nowhere or they'll be standing on an object. Or rifles floating mid-air after you kill the guard holding it. Those are the two bugs that stuck out the most; the former happens rarely. The latter, somewhat often.

The atmosphere is incredible, you truly feel you're in Paris during La Révolution; famine infested France, low and middle class people are starving while aristocratics are well fed, riots began break out all across the nation.
Unlike its twin brother, AC Rogue (AnvilNext), AC Unity was released for current gen only, and was the first game to be released with Ubisoft's newest and most powerful engine (AnvilNext 2.0). And it really shows: graphics are stunning.

Regarding the plot, it's probably one of the weakest -if not the weakest- in the series. It's still decent, though, but I, for the life of me, couldn't empathise with the protagonist, whose reasons to join the Assassins are selfish and dull. And while I like the fact that it shows how the brotherhood has lost the genuine interest for the well-being of people it had during Altaïr's and Ezio's periods and fell into bureaucracy, I still couldn't bring myself to fully enjoy it.

It's also important to note that multiplayer is dead, so if you're looking for a co-op game, look somewhere else unless you have at least one friend who plays it.

Lastly, I firmly believe this game is far better mechanically than any of its predecessors, in respect to both fighting and parkour.

Overall an amazing game, with lots of content and hours to spend on. Don't hesitate to buy it.

If you can ignore some crashes here and there and you enjoy open-world games with gigantic maps and blowing ♥♥♥♥ up, then this game should be in your shortlist. Oh, and make sure you're not looking for a game with a good story, because this game's is as dull as they get.

I don't think I would pay full price for it (then again, I don't think there's currently a single game that I'd pay 60 bucks for), so perhaps it's a good idea to wait for it to be ~$40 or cheaper.

Amazing game. Most negative reviews are from people who reviewed it in the early days after release, which was understandable at the time due to terrible optimization and many annoying bugs. Most of them were fixed and people should start updating their reviews based on the current state of the game.
To me, although I may prefer MKKE over this (mainly due to the roster of playable characters), this game is worthy of being part of the Mortal Kombat saga and, for now, is the best fighting game of the current generation (lets see how SFV does when it's released).

EDIT 02/20/16:
Definitely not recommending this game anymore. WB and NRS brought shame upon themselves by doing this to almost 500k people on Steam alone who own this game. How can they not release the Kombat Pack 2 in the PC version, after all we've been put through in the first few months? Truly disrespectful.
I do hope they come to realise how ridiculous a decision this was and finally release it for PC as well, but, sadly, the odds of that happening are essentially nonexistent.
Personally, not buying a WB's game ever again, at least on PC, that is.

EDIT 10/05/16:
Alright NRS, good job on redeeming yourselves and releasing the updated netcode / new characters pack for PC. Recommended again.
