Really impressed with this game. The writing has character and the plot, while long, is a mystery that keeps you engaged.

Simply terrific campaign especially at this price point. Unbeatable value. I would certainly purchase another campaign dlc for this price.

Wow i didnt think I could have fun with another moba type game. My initial fear was the abilities would be too numerous to learn, but right now there are maybe a dozen characters so it isn't too bad. Certain hunters like Hudson are overtuned but this game has a lot of potential.

Wow, Atlus' first 70 dollar title. Is it worth the price? I don't think so. Grab it for 45 dollars. If you think that is an outrageous suggestion hear me out.

A full play through of this title will likely take around 100 hours. If that sounds like a positive to you, hold on. This game becomes a slog mainly due to the combat being a completely uninspired take on the press-turn system. Atlus has been tweaking this basic formula of matching damage types to weaknesses to do optimal damage and steal extra turns for several DECADES. The game has many bosses and monsters sharing the same mechanics and gimmicks; it never goes beyond surface level. Lategame bosses are only marginally more complicated than those you fight within the first few hours.

Visually, this game is probably one of Atlus' better releases. Heroic Archetypes look cool, the UI and menus are drop dead gorgeous, some character models look really lanky but that tends to happen when translating anime aesthetics to 3d.

Let's discuss audio. There are probably fewer voiced lines in this game than in Persona 5 or the Persona 3 Reload which released this year. Those titles are both less expensive and have stronger soundtracks. I'm guessing audio is one area that they cut the budget on. Most of your social link events (hanging with your teammates) are not voiced. This a fat downgrade and unacceptable for a title flaunting such a price tag. Most of the tracklist is just generic sounding fantasy tunes with the most memorable being the tunes which incorporate Shinto-Buddhist chanting.

The story? The characters? It's Atlus. The story is anime, campy, melodramatic, and hopelessly idealistic. Expect to save the world using the power of friendship. It gets a pass because I don't think Atlus has ever tried making a mature game since their experiment with Catherine close to a decade ago.

Simple premise and cathartic gameplay. There is a really basic story about the the King of the Cosmos but most of the time you are going to be rolling smaller things into larger things.

Kickass soundtrack and really good vibes. Lots of nostalgia.

Paradox expects modders to fill in the gaps in this barebone introduction of new mechanics. Without mods expect to see the same 3 or 4 events on repeat when playing landless.

game bugs out lategame with lots of graphical bugs. hotfix still has not fixed. dont buy it until its fixed and on sale

I've seen a lot of reviews compare this game to raiding in FFXIV, but I haven't played that. From my perspective, it almost seems like a party game. Success during bosses often depend on your teammates and it's fairly easy to kill your teammates through incompetence.

For 15 bucks it's a fairly priced game that I would recommend, ESPECIALLY, since it has a dedicated online community. A downside is that some may be turned off by the artstyle.
