when this game came out in 2014, i was obsessed with it, and i ended up getting it in 2015 or 2016 on console. i never ended up beating it.
fast forward 10 years later, a friend of mine buys me the game on steam, and i end up finally finishing it.
the story is alright, just enjoyable
the gameplay ranges from good and fun to frustrating and repetitive, especially having to repeat sections over and over because a cop saw me and i wasn't supposed to be seen
the open world is good, and i still enjoy the things around to do, but i've already done them tons of times on console
6/10, i'd say pick it up if you want it but go into it knowing that it might not have aged well

-steal resources
-encounter alien beings
-leave said planet with the resources
in conclusion, rock and stone

if you took cocaine, lsd, and meth, you could not match the feeling of playing ultrakill
probably because you would be dead

the game's community is alright, but it's a real roll of the dice whenever you launch this game whether or not you'll find something interesting
and also they didn't bother to address accessibility issues before adding an anti cheat, which is bad in my book

the first time i launched this game, i went into the shooting range, shot one bullet and my game crashed.
i also can't run this game very well, so
get it if you can run it well

however, it's a solid sandbox for the americans in the world. (myself included)
i mean, you get to shoot guns! and guns! and more guns!
so it's a solid 6/10 for me. not too fun, maybe cause i haven't gotten into it but i'd recommend giving it a shot if you like sausages, explosives, and carnival games
