While I think game had better potential, I feel like this game is overhated. Machine for Pigs has far stronger writing and better soundtrack in my opinion than the original. I feel like hate originated from people expecting scarier game than before and it shows. It is not bad, it is just different approach to a horror, more story-driven and less gameplay-dependent. Maybe if gameplay was not that simple, it could be a greater success. Performance issues are still a issue, however managed to finish the game by clicking save and quit right in front of the loading zones where it was happening and then reloading until it worked.

Arm Wrestling keeps me coming back to this game.

All the things I have loved from first game improved with major improvements such as crafting, building and combat. Building is more advanced, intuitive and makes for some really creative free-style building, which is always fun if it does not bug from time to time. Story is decent just like it was in first game - I have thoroughly enjoyed it with my friends expect for some plot holes, but it keeps getting updated in patches which is understandable for early access. Exploring caves and world are encouraging and still has that feeling of being watched or followed.

The only concerns I have are how long it will take for game to come out of Early Access and if VR will be considered in adding.

I died more customizing my wands with different spells and testing them out in the Holy Mountain than I did wandering through biomes.

FUN

Gloomy. Game feels satisfying to play, especially with stealth gameplay. Taking out enemies by sneaking behind them and completing the level that way is enjoyment. Only issue I have with stealth gameplay is how silenced pistol is underpowered, you also have less ammo for it than for revolver. Silenced pistol might be really useful if you alert enemy and they start looking for you, you can shoot the light bulbs to cut light off in a room. Level design is stunning and make you check behind every corner just to appreciate the details.

Not too much content at the moment, but it is still in Early Access. Pretty hyped for full release and looking forward to further development of the game.

Non-refundable, but still cheap for content we get with detailed items. Contains full armour skins and weapons for 2 medieval factions, in-game currency and roses for your lover. Don't listen to people saying you shouldn't buy the game with bundle because cosmetics doesn't work - they do.

Unique game. Solid JRPG, it is first title to introduce me into that type known as japanese role-playing game, but I must admit I was stunned how well it still keeps these game mechanics despite being old game. Although, game gets repetitive after some hours, especially quests for levelling, but I would not say it is actually a problem - after all, this is MMORPG PvP, but made as singleplayer title. It worked pretty well, I had tons of fun and it made me feel like playing Online game.

I like how they improved this game with new and better mechanics from their latest made games, but it still has the atmosphere of the game we could definitely feel in Gothic games. It feels more buggy than their previous games, but it is nothing cruel to be mentioned further. Some aspects can be similar to Gothic, but it is still not really visible at all.

Risen 2 and Risen 3 are much different from this game which could be reason of you not liking them, but give it a go if you want to continue the story after this one.

It could be actually harder than how it is, however it is still challenging while fighting the bosses. Worth buying the game, you can try out DEMO before buying actual game.
