Interesting history facts that I remember learning:
Suppiluliuma II,the last king of the Hittite Empire. His empire falls approximately 1190 BC.After his kingdom collapse,Syro-Hittite states start to emerged and continue to rule until 8th century BC before they succumbing to Neo-Assyrian Empire.

The name Medjay or Medjai originally referred to an ethnic group of semi-nomadic herders from present day Sudan. Because of their skills in ranged and close combat, Egypt would later hire them as an elite paramilitary/police force. Though their name referred to their ethnicity, it would also become their job title and over time Egyptians would take on the name as they joined their ranks.

Egypt was ruled by 31 dynasties, who between them made 18 different cities the capital, covering a period from around 3000 BCE to 332 BCE (when Egypt becomes part of the Alexandrian Empire ). The 31 dynasties are comprised of Ethnic Egyptians, Hyksos (a group of people believed to be from the Levant), Kushites, Libyans and Canaanites. These are divided into Early Dynastic Period (Dynasty 1 and 2) Old Kingdom (Dynasty 3-8) First Intermediate Period( Dynasty 9-11) Middle Kingdom ,set up during Dynasty 11 ( Dynasty 11-14), Second Intermediate Period (Dynasty 15-17), New Kingdom (Dynasty 18-20), Third Intermediate Period (Dynasty 21-25), Late Period (Dynasty 26-31). Beyond this there is the Macedonian Period under Alexander (some say he is a dynasty of his own the 32nd), then after 305BCE the Ptolemaic Dynasty (called the 33rd Dynasty by some) who rule up until 30BCE when Egypt becomes an official Roman province.
