Hi there and welcome to my steam profile. I'm an oldschool gamer that dates back to the C64 era. I enjoy games with challenging but fair mechanics, heavily focused on adventure and action. I also much appreciate team- and CO-OP oriented games as well. As I do like indies and retro a lot, graphics are always less important than gameplay to me.

If we know each other, feel free to add me. I'm open for your game suggestions on Steam - though I mostly prefer shorter action-oriented titles over long RPGs or games with a tedious ramp-up . I also like to discuss, nerd over and review games in any way, so feel free to ask and tell!

Make sure to visit my (english) website and leave a comment :)

Above are games that had a large impact on my perception of what makes a great game. As you can see I'm very much into action- and platformer titles, but also stray into other genres occasionally. But regardless of game - I highly recommend giving them a spin. :tobdog:

Below are games that are excellent in multiplayer, coop or both. If you're looking for a unique experience - or simply want something to chill out on the couch with - have a look at the selection I hand-picked across different genres.

Let's start with the bad: Hunt is not without flaws - steep learning curve, Server lags and quite the hunger for hardware (barely scratching 80 FPS on a GTX1080) this game is hard to get into. Thankfully the devs are dedicated to optimize and balance this gem way after the 1.0 release. Most patches to this date have been improving the gameplay and received largely positive by the community.

It also shows that the devs play their own game, staying in close touch with what people want to see in Hunt - even if not at the speed that people desire. Content like the latest (first) Halloween event wasn't without flaws, but surprising. The developers show that they care for more than just making a quick buck, always granting you a lot of free content just for playing.

Be warned that Hunt is not simple to get into. There are a few modes and mechanics to ease you into the learning process, but the PVP remains unforgiving. Give this game a few matches to shine, preferrably with one friend and you'll soo see its charm.

And BOY, once you get into the loop you will realize that this game is one of the most original FPS in recent years. The PVPVE on the huge maps is well-developed and smartly designed, making every match a unique experience. There will be tons of "battle stories" to share with friends as almost every match unfolds differently.

This also depends on the many variables at play here: depending if you play alone or in teams of up to three players the experience completely changes, as death can be instant if you don't play stealthy and smart. With companions to revive you again the tactics of Hunt change greatly, allowing you to use pincer tactics and giving more relevance to tools of distraction and deceit.

Weapons and combat feel meaty and one-of-a-kind thanks to a diverse arsenal of old "classical" rifles and guns that take long to reload but feel satisfying to shoot and hit with. This game is not COD - you have to pick your shots carefully and make every bullet count, as you make noise with EVERY action. And keep in mind: the SOUND of weapons and environment is not just there for presentation, but also vital part of gameplay and strategy. Other players hear your steps, lie in wait or use the noise to start a distraction or wait for you if they hear you coming a mile away.

When Hunt works its charm it generates a blood pressure like no other game. Adrenaline and frustration make way for endless satisfaction when you nail a few good shots and make it out alive with the bounty and a few more kills under your belt. Hunt takes practice and patience to get good at, but the rewards after a success feel unmatched to any other multiplayer game I've played in years.

This game ROCKS!

Really good COOP-experience, accessible and wth tons of replay value. 4 distinct classes with personality, individual kits and a lot of customization options almost guarantee you find your favorite. Customization can be both visually and with tweaking mechanics, and everyting - yes, even cosmetics - are purely bought ingame without any microtransaction or lootbox ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The founder's package is a "give the devs a tip" bundles with golden shining gear - nothing more.

Gun- and Gameplay is fun and tight, with semi-randomized map layouts and several levels of difficulty. The game has a solid group search / map browser feature, ensuring that beginners don't eat dirt and veterans still get a rock-solid challenge. Killing swarms of glyphids (think Starship Troopers) never gets old and if you know what your team is doing, the experience is amazing.

The developers are also on top of their game, announcing regular roadmap updates and actually sticking to what they say! They regularly add a lot of worthwhile content, all of it free of charge. Class-balancing still remains solid even after many reworks of existing mechanics, and I had yet to discover any game-breaking bugs or lags that made playing impossible.

Visuals and sound appear minimalistic, but the low-poly style and ambient synth sounds fit the game perfectly. Ambient light and well-chosen soundeffects add a lot to the claustrophobic atmosphere, giving this game a "one in a million" touch while balancing stress-levels and dwarven-humored fun almost perfectly.
