Paid Mods Electric Boogaloo. They are once again pushing for the ability to monetize other people work for fixing their bugs. They push this by saying they are splitting revenue with modders, but that doesnt acknowledge that they are profiting off the communities efforts in fixing and adding features to a game that Bethesda had no hand in creating. Its BS.

Great game. Very entertaining. Filled with conservative/alex Jones memes. You may not even catch them all the first time amidst all the action. The only drawback is the game is quite short and a bit on the easy side. I love it, but wish it was 2-3x longer for the money. But lets be real, aside from the game being fun, I really had to buy it because MSNBC anchors were losing their minds about the game and calling for it to be banned. lol.

Great game. The biggest shortcoming in the game is the lackluster bossfights. Most encounters lack a tactical means of engaging them or unique abilities. Instead, they just power through stagger attacks and deal lots of damage. Making them feel much like normal enemies, that are most safely dealth with via cheesing. That said, this is probably the best survival co-op game since Valhiem.

So, This game released a week early on other platforms. I rerolled for 4 days, got my fave units, then played 2-3 days before new patch notes came out that said they were accidentally awarding too much free currency to us. They have changed the numbers to be much less and instead of removing gems from hoarders, they were imposing an invisible debt onto all players for the extra currency they recieved... I just played the game like normal. I have no fScking clue what my debt is, just that they've taken 3200 gems from me in 48 hours and it feel pointless to play right now. I have no idea if my debt will end tomorrow or if im a debt slave for the next year. I never even had more than 4700 gems at once.. how am I in debt still? I dont know what the hell this company is thinking, but punishing players for playing your game normally is unforgivable.

Do NOT play this game.
The company treats players like trash!

I have no clue what my debt even is. I think that bothers me the most. Its like some 3rd world country ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where you have a debt and nobody tells you what it is. You just gotta keep working and hope the game allows you to earn currency again one day. Im quitting this Gacha. The people running this game are retarded and vindictive.

Enjoyable casual game. Turn Based Auto-battle in which you 5v5 enemies with pets that you can buy and upgrade inbetween duals. It plays a lot like a strategy card game. If any of these things interest you, its worth downloading and trying since its free!

Multiplayer is un-fScking-playable. My friend and I have been trying to play for days. Always random bugs where they'll load into a map with two copies of themselves with the fake version of them having the camera locked to them, minute long loads between maps, or otherbugs such as them being invisible when we form a party and try teleporting to eachother or the game showing eachother as playing an offline character when we arent. The game feels like an Alpha test. And the map loading is ridiculous. Even in single player it takes 15+ seconds to change maps. It really sucks because what little I did play, the combat and classes were fun. But this game feels unstable as ♥♥♥♥. My friend has rage quit all 3 days we've tried playing, and im always left mad as hell by the end.

Game of the Year. Definitely the closest a video game has gotten to playing actual TableTop RPGs. And likely the best that CAN be done until LLM/AI tech advances enough to become a digital DM. Must buy for those RPG Gamers who love immersive stories and turn based combat with huge variation on outcomes. Baldur's Gate 3 is a love letter to the Sword Coast and DnD.

Early Access Review
Original Review from a month after early access: Still in early works. But definitely an overlooked engine. This engine is already superior to RPGMaker MZ in many ways. and the Orthogonal 3D tools are quite awesome in recreating those PS1 era 3D Graphics.

Honest Update: Just shy of a year later and 200+ Hours in. The engine hasnt progressed much. Still in early access with no end in sight. Updates are very frequent. (Which is awesome and a sign that the dev is trying,) However, while I had a lot of hope in RPGA becoming all-around better than RPGMaker, very little actually ever gets done, despite so many updates and bugfixes. The discord, where you'll innevitably need to go to learn how to use the engine since its not very intuitive, can be very positive. Most of the guys try to be helpful. Mondune, Tolin42, and Noobk were all helpful...

This is not true though of the main Dev, Locke. He was very hands on an helpful at the start. But as time has gone on, he's gotten more and more jaded. Obviously not happy with poor sales, etc. He often refuses to watch 15-30second clips of errors or bugs that users post, instead demanding that somebody send screenshots instead and tell him what the problem is in explicit detail when its already been explained. And gets attitudes with customers for no reason. He was so much different at the start, and a very decent guy, so im assuming he must be stressed out or something, but it gets frustrating anytime you interact with him and he's in one of his moods. Claiming its his day off or some other nonsense when he's not even been tagged. Like, dude, if its your day off... Stay off the discord then, or dont respond to peoples issues till youre back. Its annoying to have him come in and take it out on others for no reason. Anyway, after a year of this and more and more instances of the Dev, Locke, being a pain in the ass, I've given up all hope on this engine and no longer can recommend it to anyone. Lock even goes so far as to basically call people stupid for feature requests in the feature request section of discord. One guy asked for a pop-up or asterisks in the window title to show that a project was actually saved, and Locke basically said It was always saved and it was stupid to ask for. Maybe if RPGA had a bigger community so you could pull from people and not interact with the dev and his pissy mood-swings, Id have been content to keep this engine on the side to monitor until it eventually releases. But right now, jokes on me. He's got my money. I can only be greatful I didnt support the project on Patreon.

Speaking of Patreon, Two contributors to RPGA for assets are Bit by Bert and FinalBossBlues. Both of these creators are very pleasant and easy to get along with. You should 100% support these creators or at least look into their work!

Update: The crappy dev of this game started harassing me on discord private messages telling me that I'd costed him sales and then "thanking me" for my attitude, which has caused him to change his "discord policies." I told him not to guilt me and go away, to which he had to get the last word in by telling me he wasnt guilting me and genuinely meant thanks, and invited me to rejoin the discord and community in the future if I ever wanted to act appropriately. Then I see he commented on my review down below where he basically ignores everything said in this review to try and call me a transphobe, like that has anything at all to do with my review. Anyway, unless they've changed it, you can join the discord for yourself and search my past posts and his, to see the truth of things, how he treated customers, etc. This dev is a real piece of work. Don't buy anything he sells in the future.

Neat game. Hand-holy in some areas and then tells you next to nothing in others. But overall, a nice little game that feels like a proof of concept more than anything. Charming. I think I wouldve appreciated it more backing around 2008-2010. But it still is fun today. CAPITALISM HO!
