The Stillness of the Wind is a beautifully crafted game, which can be very challenging at times.
Many have a very romanticized image of "living off the land" and this game is a good reminder that the reality looks very different.
It is hard labor, all day, every day. There is no Amazon or grocery stores that will provide you with what you need on a daily basis. If you mess up, you will go hungry.
I have a deep respect for that digital old little lady choosing to live like this, despite her age.

The Stillness of the Wind makes you appreciate the little accomplishments, but there is one thing that is a slight negative point in my eyes: The days are a little bit too short.
Every task takes time, no doubt, but venturing a few hundred meters away from your farm or making cheese should not take up 75-100% of the day.

The game can be very grim, and I do not mind that at all, because being in a situation like this is tough.
So I feel like people should be aware that this isn't a (mentally) cozy title despite its art style.

Early Access Review
This is an early review and might change later as development progresses!
TCG Card Shop Sim definitely tickles that TCG addiction that most of us had as a kid or still have (Hello, MtG!) and perfectly underlines what ridiculous emotional and financial relationship we have towards a bunch of paper pieces.

If you have played Supermarket Simulator this game is pretty much that but instead you are selling cards, merch and other stuff like card sleeves, playmats, etc.
So far I haven't come across any major bugs. The game runs really well, the AI does what it is supposed to do and it doesn't feel too grindy.
The level design overall looks VERY much like Super Market Sims which gives you the feeling you have played this same game before directly when you load in for the first time. Whether or not this is a bad thing is up to you to decide.

Now to the elephant in the room:
My main concern is, that the art for the cards seems to be AI generated. Especially the card "Trickstar" seems to have the typical AI flaws, especially around the characters eyes and "legs".
At the bottom of the cards it only lists the name "Sia Ding Shen" who seems to be the main developer and since there is no Credits section in the main menu I couldn't really find out if there is an actual artist behind the artwork.
When you google the name Sia Ding Shen, the first thing you will find is a mobile version of this game (TCG Card Shop Tycoon Simulator) - where literally a Ash Ketchum in pixel art style is being used in their promo art - a couple of other mobile games evolving around "Tetramons" and the developers Artstation page which is almost empty except for 1 picture.
So I wasn't really able to find any evidence if the lead developer is an artist and made the art for the cards themselves or if someone else has been working on it in the background.

I will leave it up to you what to do with this piece of information. The game runs well, feeds the TCG addiction and can keep you busy for hours but the art for this game adds a couple of red flags in my opinion.

So rather look at this review as NEUTRAL, instead of positive or negative for now.

As a huge fan of "the Hunter: Call of the Wild" I was excited for the Angler although, after a hint on EW's social media site, I hoped this would be an expansion to the Hunter and not a separate game but I guess the team had their reasons not to merge both.
The level design is beautiful and you will find a couple of similarities if you have played any of the other games released by Expansive Worlds.
The mechanics are simple and easy to understand although there are 1 or 2 things, I think, could have been done better.
So far I haven't encountered any bugs. If you have played the Hunter from day one you will know how messy the release was and I was honestly expecting the same to happen here but the game seems to be working well and also appears to perform way better than its hunting counterpart.

The only thing that is bothering me a little is the blur effect on the water surface some people have mentioned.
It's not too bad and you get used to it after a while, but I still hope this will be improved in the near future.

As for content: The amount of content (quests, unlockable points, etc.) is roughly the same the Hunter had on release day and will keep you busy for a couple of days if not weeks.

The fireworks in this game bang harder than Sasha Grey.

But seriously, this needs VR support!

Luna's Fishing Garden is a short, but fun little title in pixel art style and some Idle game aspects.
You have to gather items, plant trees, fish and complete quests for other characters as you expand the playable area. You can upgrade your equipment and later buy little helpers to do some of these tasks for you, which introduces the idle part to the game.

If you prefer to play something more casual and relaxing, Luna's Fishing Garden is the right game for you.

Money well spent. Beautiful environment, adorable (playable) animals and good story.
Waiting for this game for so long was definitely worth it! <3
